Yeah it does kind of trivialize the game a bit but grinding for rupees is long and tedious anyway so I don’t really mind doing it

 

No i’m the weirdo, I like grinding in slow turn-based JRPGS.

 

Lol exactly what I did. and bought whatever armor I could. Lots of hearty truffles too.

I did the dupe glitch with bombs against better judgement, managed about 20 before I blew myself up. swore to never do it again

 

Hahahaha yeah I saw a warning for that ahead of time. Apparently you're fine if you do it over water. Same issue with fire fruit too

Wow the Dragon Tears quest really is so satisfying and awesome, holy hell

 

I've stupidly just been doing any dragon tear I can find, not caring about order heh. Oh well!

 

doing them out of order is actually more fun i think hah - i've unlocked them all and it's pretty cool.

 

Has anyone else purchased their house yet? The building aspect is crazy and mine looks terrible from the outside lol.

Are there areas of the depths that you can only access from above? I have X’s from those treasure maps that seem to be in areas i cant reach. Just gigantic walls in the way.

 

Yep, any above-ground body of water is a border in the depths.

 

Carved about 10ish hours of this, and barely scratched the surface. 12 shrines, a couple of towers, heaps of President Hudson signs, heaps of exploring and 'Discovery!' finding.

I love this game, but based on this thread currently I'm feeling a little overwhelmed by HOW MUCH there is to do. I have a feeling I'm going to get another 20 hours or so in before I even move into the mainline quest (just got the Paraglider and need to go back and speak to Purah). It's so much fun but fuck, everyone's done so much and built amazing shit and I'm sitting here on 0.02% complete.

Doesn't mean I don't love it. I loved BOTW, but I'm just jealous of you all.

 

Guess I've only played 40 hours. Just beat the fire temple tho and have a little over 60 shrines. How tf are there more than 150? I feel like I've found all the obvious ones. Maybe just answered my own question
