Why is Hestu in such an easily missable location lol same thing in BOTW, I actually missed them completely in that game until I looked it up

Yeah I took a very weird route to Kakariko in BOTW - I preferred to cut through cliffs instead of the main road, and I didn't discover Hestu until after I had already beaten the game heh

At least this time, he's by a tower, so as long as you're completing your map you're good

I've seen people mention that selling certain foods can yield high profits, but I've never seen anything go for more than like 30 rupees. Anyone have tips for recipes?

I just sell Amber and Opals, Bokoblin horns etc., pretty much anything I have a ton of I’ll sell like 1/4 of it. Sitting on like 4000 Rupees from doing this

So I'm trying to get to the third shrine and I'm at the part where I learn what fans are.

I make my raft, make my fans, find out I have to hit the fans, so I do it, but power wiped out quickly. So then I thought, okay, maybe I have to put it in the water first and do it?

So I put it in the water, get on top, attack, and watch as my raft explodes, I fall in the water, and one log with a fan still attached shoots off in the distance.

    A+ 10/10 Brilliant game.

But yeah, you learn quickly not to bash things you build with big hammers to turn them on, use a stick.

I haven’t had much of a need for rupees yet so I’ve been hoarding a lot of the better gems and monster parts in case there is a better use for them at some point or when I need a battle advantage.

usually on the loading screen when youre teleporting or going into a shrine on the right of the screen it shows you how many shrines youve done, how many light blessings you currently have, etc.

lmfao I thought that was just my inventory and currency I never looked close

yeah it’s pretty easy to get by with spicy pepper dishes but once you can afford it just having base line resistance is so much more convenient

Fusing a ruby to a weapon or shield and keeping it on your back works too.

I didn't buy the snow armor because I'm poor and basically made the journey and completed the temple with spicy foods. It's definitely playing in hard mode but certainly possible.

I like that the “first zone” for the story requires you to either learn how to cook for resistances or learn how to farm for money to afford the cold resist armor

I did encounter him at some random place while traveling the first time, but then he was just chilling inside the base in the middle of the map after that. I cashed in like 40 seeds lol.
