I miss when just climbing a tower was satisfying enough, now it's like "you want access to this tower? go into the caves and fight 5 Horriblins"
I’m really bad at this game. Probably doesn’t help that I’m just exploring and not doing story shit, but a lot of enemies one shot me and I do very little damage. I suspect I’m not utilizing fusion the way I should be
Most people have probably played long enough to have seen one of these by now but spoiler tagging for anybody who hasn’t spent time on the surface yet: did they officially rename floormasters as gloom hands in this game, or is that just a fan term from people who haven’t played old Zelda? Because they’re definitely Wind Waker-style floormasters
I encountered this for the first time earlier I couldn't figure out how to defeat them, I went through like 40 arrows lol it seemed like I would kill one and another just grew back
Has anyone else gotten distracted while flying off a tower looking at the Horizon and then died from falling on a lower sky island?
Well, first of all, the original name is Wallmaster, dating back to the original Zelda on the NES. But I imagine they're called Gloom Hands here because they're made out of Ganon's Gloom. Although I guess the game just calls them Gloom Spawn.
Not quite, but I was used to splashing into water and died after forgetting to paraglide the first time I jumped into the Depths! Real adventure hero, this one.
Anyone else a little let down by the size of the sky islands and how few of them there seem to be? I haven't found any that live up to the Great Sky Island. Would just be nice to have some other large ones to explore instead of tiny ones to jump across until you find a shrine and a dispenser. Just a small criticism
Fought against the Phantom Ganons in Hyrule Castle today. It was pretty easy, but it was cool to see a phantom variation of Ganondorf. We hadn’t seen one since Ocarina of Time. Also Zelda being a dragon was rad.
Have you done many of the quests on the sky islands yet? I've only done a couple, but they were so much fun. The one where you have to steer the floating platforms around to retrieve the gem and give it to the shrine was amazing lol.
The entire wind temple lead up is all I’ve really done aside a couple little things here and there but that was a huge section that I loved
I'm so bad at this game. Was trying to just go around and activate towers and kept getting destroyed at the fortified ones so I thought I'd do some shrines first and build up some hearts and stamina and the only ones I found were the ones where it takes all your gear and kept getting destroyed in those. Kind of annoying how little distance you travel when skydiving.
