One minor annoyance about this game is the story -- not only that it's obviously a near-carbon-copy of BOTW, but even worse because it wastes the potential of BOTW Zelda as a character.

In BOTW (and Age of Calamity) her whole arc through the memories made it clear that she was this deeply insecure girl tasked with the biggest job in the world and hated herself (and resented a total natural like Link) because she failed to live up to that potential until after everyone she knew had been killed and she had to wait for 100 years while everyone but Impa died. None of that is explored further here lol, and there doesn't seem to be anything that has taken its place as an interesting thematic or character-driven emotional hook

 

True, but I do fucking love that Zelda now lives in Links house, with only one bed, and his headband in her room

 

It took me way too long to realize what I’m supposed to do with the guy putting up those construction signs Lmao the first couple times I saw him I told him to let go and watched it fall and laughed and moved on

 

Haha same. I tried attaching something to the sign with ultrahand, saw that I couldn't, and just gave up

 

I beat Sekiro so I am a parry king

I still dunno what to do, havent spent too much time on it tho. Wat do I do

 

I put a piece of wood standing upright next to the sign so it didn’t fall, do that tell him to let go and he gives you loot

 

I do that as well but I don't think he's ever given me loot?

I told him to let go and there was some dialogue but I don't recall him giving me loot. I'll have to check again later today.

 

I straight up can't focus at my job anymore because I just want to play

 

He gives you like 20 rupees and some food. I just stopped doing them after a certain point because there doesn't seem to be a greater prize as it goes on, and each one is the exact same so there's no real puzzle or challenge. Maybe he gives you a reward for doing them all but there's just too many.

 

Yeah you’re supposed to talk to him again after he marvels at your work

 

I truly haven't found any good weapons higher than like 8 power lmao

I've barely pushed the story forward and I'm just running around activating towers and getting murdered. What's a good early place for gear? do I need to go to the depths?

I figure you probably get something good for doing them all but I could be wrong, there’s so damn many there’s gotta be something

 

Fuse things to your weapons!!

 

Fusing is the BEST way to get higher grade weapons. Good chance that most folks have like a level 8-10 item they could fuse to a weapon just chilling in their inventory.

Once you fuse a decent weapon just start going into enemy camps and killing them for their high level body parts.

This game has some straight up Elden Ring bosses just chillin in an open world

 

I haven’t really done anything outside of the Hebra region yet lol but video game snow is the best sorry

 

I did find my first steering device so that was exciting

 

I’ve almost updated all there is for the plate. Glad we get hero’s mode so we can see where we travel without it being DLC like it was for BOTW.
