So the bad news is that a friend of mine was having a birthday party next weekend and I was taking off from work to come up and see him, but some people got Covid and now it's a huge mess so he's cancelled his party.

The good news is now this means I have five days off in a row to play this, and while I want to finish what I'm playing now first, I think I can manage that before those five days start.

Man these bokoblins are destroying me. Killing me with one fucking hit, insane haha. I feel lame just avoiding them but ehh

I did find a couple fairies on a sky island though, so that's sweet

The shrines are very fun

 

Any tips on finding or fusing better weapons? I dont have anything with a better attack than 7-10. I encountered one of those block monsters and I understand how to beat him, but my swords are doing barely any damage

Also, any early stage suggestions to getting better armor than what you start with? I haven't even found any rupees

 

I get such a thrill dropping the wings off the edge of a cliff and jumping to perfectly land on the wings after they’ve descended a bit.

Tony Hawk would be proud.

Fusing weapons is paramount in this game. The enemy difficulty has been upped to account for it, I think. I’ve got a 21 level fused weapon and I’m just out here wrecking Bokoblins with their own horn now.

 

Monsters parts make for some good fuse items but I think I’ve found higher ones because I’ve moved out of the starter areas and started exploring.

I haven’t found any armor better than a level three but those were found via side quests that took me to the areas they were in.

 

Yeah i think youre right, im running into much tougher enemies much sooner than i did at this point in BOTW.

 

Played for a couple of hours today and it is already SO good. I crossed an entire lake in the most tedious way possible. (Move log, swim to log, move other log, swim to log, move first log, swim to log, so on, so forth.) I am never going to finish.

Also sliding down those rails on a platform is awesome. Especially when that platform is just a narrow log. Haha.

 

Finished the first “temple” and now I’m going to grab the Hylian shield because I need it for the full Zelda experience

Bobokin horns in particular are great

 

Just discovered you can order your quick menu choices by fuse attack power by pressing Y which is SOLID,
