MAN what a long beginning to this game haha. Took me 5-6 hours to get my paraglider. Really excited for the game to take off from here

 

sheesh. what a night. 12 shrines, 3 towers.

playing botw for a few weeks before this was absolutely the move. its stunning how they made a completely familiar game feel so new. i cant believe this is going to blow botw so far out of the water. I almost didnt think it was possible.

now i rest

 

I am learning some incredibly hard and frustrating lessons about the rules of physics and building in this game but it’s so addicting I can’t put it down

 

me : hey what is that big blocky thing? that must be important. Lemme check that out

me 45 seconds later: oh fuck oh fuck oh fuck I'm dead

 

First couple hours in, found some cold resistant pants, completed the first 3 shrines. Game is perfect damn

 

I will say this is a far better tutorial than botw and lays out the fundamentals of these systems incredibly well while keeping you engaged. I was zoned out by the second shrine in the intro of botw like just begging to be let loose but I’m on the third shrine here and still learning new shit every few minutes

 

It’s wild how much better this game is than botw. And it keeps being good too. No lulls so far.

 

I like that the tears look like little shrimps

 

Made it past the first shrine. Can’t wait to dig more into this!

 

As someone who wasn’t in love with BOTW, this has been so much better and more interesting to me so far. Really enjoying it.

 

I am only just at the point you’re directed to the first shrine, but this is exactly like BOTW so far when it comes to introducing you to the game and controls. The only real difference is that you start with more story and get to see the inciting incident first hand, which is a big shift. Otherwise it’s very much the same vibe with different details/enemies.

Edit: this is not a complaint by the way!

 

This game feels impossibly big lol. I swear I’m trying to follow the main path but 12 shrines and a couple side quests later and I feel like I’ve gotten nowhere. Goal is to at least make it to that first dungeon today.
