My initial thought when I made that post was more like Zelda Stronghold but alright. Castle Management sims with RTS elements are a whole ass PC genre.
Yea, they have said that they are moving on to a new direction/take on Zelda. I’m sure it’ll be open world, but we shall see beyond that.
I want it to take place in Hyrule City. I want a setpiece boss fight on a magic hanging monorail speeding through the city. I want bird hovercycles and laser swords they haven't done that yet lol
but actually what I really want is for Ganon to not be the villain again what I love about the DS Wind Waker sequel games is once that fucker took a sword to his face he stayed dead. Dead dead. the main villain of Phantom Hourglass is a squid and the villain of Spirit Tracks is Ganon but with a mustache. peak it's not like there aren't options. there's, you know, vaati
I forgot Majora too. What a game They probably just put too much money into the AAA games to not hedge their bets each time. It's gotta be some swarthy red haired pig guy
There is something satisfying to killing Ganondorf. But I’m certainly not against them changing it up.
They went so hard with those final boss battles. The story overall is probably the best in the series in terms of sheer mythical quality. The moon, the giants… goddamn what a game.
Ganondorf is a great villain, but since we just had him I’d rather have another villain for the next game.
I have FINALLY beaten this game after starting it in literally December. I did really love the experience and think it was better than BOTW, but like that game, I had to pretty much ignore side quests so as not to get overwhelmed/stop enjoying it. That's more of a me problem though I did think the story was genuinely good and the return of actual temples and boss fights made all the difference for me, it essentially fixed my biggest complaint with BOTW that it didn't always feel like a Zelda game. The Ganondorf fight was weirdly like the easiest boss in the game for me lol Great game
Easiest sure, but definitely the funnest boss fight in the game. I mean you're basically having a GoT style dragon duel. Incredible experience.
Again to my point of story vs vibes. Yeah there is loose plot, but also I get to experience the wonder of riding on the back of a dragon through a chasm into the underworld. I never thought "this story needs to be richer" when I was doing some of the most wondrous awe inspiring fantastic things a video game has ever allowed me to do.
