I started a third play through a few days ago. Just gonna take my time and play when I feel like it. It’s a good mental break from stress or work.
I've been slowly making my way through this for months and I'm definitely loving it more than BOTW, the dungeons and boss fights feeling like old Zelda games was the best thing they could have done Strictly going off the main story, about how much longer do I have if I've found all four of the sages (Rito, Goron, Zora and Gerudo) and now am tasked with going up to the castle to find Zelda?
Yeah I’m right where you are with like 80 hours played and haven’t picked it up in ages. I’m sure I’ll get around to wrapping it up but I’ve put so much into the game already I’ve basically finished it lol
I've already kinda fallen into what I did with BOTW where I don't really do sidequests and just stick with the main story, I get more than enough out of the game just doing that and feel overwhelmed if I try to take on everything
Same strategy here - I beat the main game back in October, and I'm just getting back on to work through some remaining quests and shrines, little by little.
I still haven't been to Kakariko Village, does the story ever naturally take you there? Or do you need to go out of your way to go?
I will say as I’m currently playing FF7 Rebirth and having a very good time, the exploration part of it has kinda lost its luster after 40 hours in. Where’s TOTK I was always so fascinated by the world and wanted to see everything after 100 hours.
I haven't played this much since defeating the main story last May. I need to get back into it and complete all of the shrines and side quests (that don't involve the depths).
The depths is fun for awhile. I definitely would go down for hours at a time during my play throughs. But I think doing chunks at a time and then doing land/sky and then going back was a good at to do it to keep it from becoming too samey.
After making the robot in the depths and completing that dungeon I have no desire to ever go down there again.
I haven't played this in awhile. Loved it while I did, but man, I fucking hated the depths and thought that was a lost opportunity.
The depths have diminishing returns in my opinion. It's not nearly as interesting visually over a long duration as the overworld. It needed to have different regions.
