Oh shit. This reminded me Ahsoka finale is tonight. TBH, I have an alarm set to remind me. But I was just super pissed about something and this helped me calm down. Thanks, man!
I like Scott’s content and some of his critiques here are accurate sure but…the whole “this thing that everyone loves isn’t as good as everyone says it is, I swear I still love it though” angle is tired and trite
Haha totally fair! I just found myself agreeing with a few things here and there and his deadpan "overly positive" sense of humor cracks me up sometimes
yeah, i feel like Scott framing the review (or whatever you wanna call it) as "TOTK Isn't Perfect" and putting a 10/10 crossed out on the thumbnail is just playing to that contrarian angle
Finally got around to fighting the Demon King tonight. Thought the devs wrote a really solid ending to the game. Feels too early to comment whether I prefer this game to Breath of the Wild, even though this obviously built on the former's foundation. Not sure I have much else to say at this point other than I'm grateful they keep pouring such loving effort into the series.
I’m assembling the fifth sage in the depths currently. Hopefully will be able to wrap this up before Friday.
I really enjoyed Minish Cap back in the day. Another underrated one was Four Swords Adventure. I had a blast playing that as the only(?) multiplayer Zelda (not counting Hyrule Warriors).
Beat Gannon last night! Yeah I really did not like the very long quest leading up to it. His third phase gave me the most grief but other than that was fine. I cheesed him a little with those zombie bones and would attach them to my arrows. overalls I absolutely loved this game 9.5/10
Just beat it. The gameplay and world is great. Better than BOTW for me. But the voice acting for Zelda and the story is a mess. It's a massive improvement from BOTW, but the ending was whack. It diminished the emotional weight of her sacrifice. I get that they felt they couldn't go that hard, but they really should have committed. 9/10.
On the one hand, I like happy endings. On the other hand, this deprives Link of riding a big honkin' dragon in the next game.
