I seem to be missing three lightroots but don't know where 2 of the missing ones are. Hmm.

I think they’re all in the northeast part of the map

Look a lot your depths map and look for small unlit spots.

Also just look at where shrines are on your map and see which corresponding lightroots are missing.

Yeah I couldn't find the faded spots so I guess I'm going to have to go through individually.

If you post your map I can try to point them out?

there are a few roots that are super easy to miss, usually in microscopic unlit areas. The only way I found them all is by looking at every shrine on the surface and then switching to the Depths map and marking the undiscovered ones. Once you're at the very end, there are 3-4 roots in dark areas that aren't possible to see without zooming way the hell in

yup. i thought i was going CRAZY. there are areas so small are almost unnoticeable unless you are looking directly at it zoomed in. swapping from main map to depths map to match up locations is how i found a good 15-20 shrines/lightroots.

I found 2 of the ones I was missing, but now am lost when finding the final remaining lightroot. And no, I don’t have all the shrines - about 130. 95% of those are in Skyrule and Gerudo, but I have all the light roots in the Gerudo area.

When I got the Master Sword yesterday I was like "Hey Zelda, what's up?" and she was all "NYYYEEAAAGHHHH".

I'm just going to echo what everyone else said. You really need to zoom in and look at every section of the map. I thought I was crazy too but you'll finally see it eventually. It's just a small circle somewhere.

  14. Finally did the Fire Temple. The music during the chasm descent was so good.

JFC the gauntlet of gloom Shit you have to do to get to the last boss….I have 3 hearts by the time I got to him. And can’t heal the gloom. I am broken.

This game is pure exploration and adventure I love it. Played for 2 hours today just doing side quests and shrines. Also found some villages and stables I hadn’t yet. Also finally dyed my gear and changed my paraglider to the gazette layout.

    Hell yea.

haha I did the descent like midway through my play through. I got to the final dive, dropped a medallion and dove to see for sure what was next. I quickly noped out of there when it began. When I was ready, it was so quick and easy to dive into the final stage of the game.

I was thinking about DLC for this and the only thing I can come up with is another Master Sword Trial? Basically every addition from the BOTW DLC was already implemented into TOTK from the start.

I hope not, referring to master sword trials.

Not sure what the DLC could be, but I also didn’t think we have depths or all these caves or temple rising from the ground. They could find something far more satisfying than master sword trials again.

I did some Depths stuff tonight. Started by marking where every Lightroot is supposed to be on my map based on where the shrines are.

Then I found Kohga for the second time, and after that I decided to start exploring some small out of the way areas, like the coliseum under Eventide Island, and two of the three Depths Labyrinths.

It's going to be a long expedition, honestly. I can feel the same criticism everyone else has of the Depths: it's a lot of the same, except the size of normal Hyrule, and I'm not that thrilled about it.

I think I'm going to continue exploring small areas first, and then try to get any Lightroots I can around chasm entrances, so that I can create a small web to work from. And then slowly start filling in the gaps.
