I went on a tear tonight through the sky. Tears of the kingdom, I guess. I now have every Old Map. I completed the sidequest with the tablets in the sky. And I have every Sage's Will except for the ones in the cloud-obscured area and the ones guarded by very angry three-headed dragons that I don't intend to fight yet. I basically did everything I could in the sky that doesn't involve that one island or Gleeoks, except for the labyrinths, and I actually completed one of those tonight as well, so I have two to go. Besides the two remaining labyrinths, my focus will next be on the two horse-driven quests I've yet to complete (Zelda's horse and that giant white horse), and I may also do a little sightseeing. Take some pictures. You know, for anyone who might want them. Like stables. Anything to avoid the Depths, I guess.
I've been fighting Lynels since BOTW days and I JUST now got good enough to parry their attacks and boy, it's a great feeling.
just finished the Lightning Temple last night. gonna fuck around some more before heading to Ganon. kinda weird they haven't mentioned the Triforce even once in the storyline yet
Tonight's progress: I completed the other two labyrinths in the sky, so all I have left there are the Depths versions. This also means the only shrines I have left involve either the cloud-obscured sky island or the Lost Woods. I also completed the two horsey quests, and I've completed a good portion of the photog quests for the stables. I only have three of those left, and those require variations in time or weather, so I'm going to do them tomorrow. The annoying thing is if I'd have had the presence of mind to take pictures while I was on my journey, I wouldn't have had to double back for some of these, but oh well. Tomorrow's plan is to finish the three last photog quests, and then... I guess Hyrule Castle? I'm out of things to do on the land and sky that don't involve big giant lizards or progressing the story, so I guess I might as well progress the story.
Same. I think this coming weekend is the goer. I'll need something like this while my brain reels from Oppenheimer.
I still haven’t fought a gleeok but I’m going to try to finish all shrines and quests at the end of the summer
Tonight's adventure runs as follows. I finished the remaining photography quests for the stables, so I decided to move the plot forward and tackle Hyrule Castle. I have a grievance. Well, two grievances. One is just that finding every little nook and cranny in Hyrule Castle is annoying as fuck, but I did it. The other one is something I learned after defeating Phantom Ganon. Since I already have max hearts, I figured the game would recognize that, and instead of giving me a Heart Container after beating the boss, it would give me a Stamina Container. Boy, was I wrong. Cue me going to the devil statue to let it buy my soul so I can take the Heart Container that I won from Phantom Ganon. I went ahead and sold another one as well since I figure I'll get another Heart Container from a future boss. Fucking dumb though. Anyway, this means I now have enough Stamina for that quest, but I'm not doing that yet. I went ahead and unobscured Thunderhead Island though, which is where I'll head next, in the quest for the fifth Sage.
I think the lightning temple was my fav temple. Felt the most like classic Zelda, just because it's a hell of a puzzle. Could've used more enemies though. Weird how the temples are just so devoid of battles until the boss.
Hearing the classic Zelda overworld theme come in during the cutscene showing how Ganondorf was imprisoned made my room very dusty.
Okay, so I'm stopping for today. Here's what I accomplished. I have the fifth Sage. I cured the Deku Tree. I got the Master Sword. I completed every shrine. I collected every Bubbulfrog. I even killed three Gleeoks in a row, two for sidequests and one for that last Bubbulfrog. At this point, I still have the three last Sage's Wills in the sky guarded by King Gleeoks. And then I have a whole lot of Depths to explore, including the sidequests involving A Call From The Depths and Master Kohga. And then of course I have Ganondorf, who I'm saving for last, for the look of the thing.
The Coliseum Ruins Cave. There's a puzzle to solve to enter it and that puzzle is right behind a Thunder Gleeok.
Played about 3 hours so far, and got through the tutorial, and it’s absolutely wonderful. It’s everything I loved about BOTW, but expanded upon. I cannot wait to see everything this game has to offer. phone ringtone, funny game over
