Is there an award or bonus for finding all the light roots?

Just beat the Lynel Coliseum, first try. Puffshrooms are so OP. time to dupe some Lynel horns and have dope weapons.

What do you do with puff shrooms? Just throw them?

Yeah or fuse them arrows/weapons/shields. They stun enemies

Yeah, throwing them works best in a fight and saves on arrows. Another sound strategy is to use the Forest Dweller’s Sword and fuse a Puffshroom to it, but then you have to switch back to a weapon that will do actual damage. I prefer to just press R and up button to throw a Puffshroom at the ground or the enemy.

95 hours in and still haven’t tried to fight a Lyonel yet. I think I’ve only seen 2 of them.

There is, but there might as well not be. It's the video game equivalent of socks as a birthday present except more worthless.

As worthless as the reward for collecting all 900 koroks in BOTW?

There are a lot of worthless rewards in this game, honestly lol some of the puzzles are just satisfying to solve even if there’s really nothing in return.

Since I already have a lot of the past Link outfits from Amiibos, they aren’t as a cool of a reward for me. But, I do get to sell extras for 600 rupees. So, not too bad.

however, yea, sometimes completing it is more satisfying. Like the 900 BOTW koroks. That’s bragging rights more than anything haha

One of these days I’ll get around to finding all the wells and finish that quest, it’s been low key bugging me just sitting there uncompleted since the beginning

Has anyone else given up on finding shrines on their own? I just use the Tears Companion app that has a full interactive map heh

I just suck at finding caves, I'm otherwise pretty good at finding them on the overworld and sky on my own

I have had to look up some of the shrine quest ones, I would spend so much time looking for them with both the sensor and the light root and just not getting it.

I still haven’t found all of the shrines yet, I think I have like 40ish left, but I haven’t exhausted all my options looking yet.

I just got to 122 on my own. How many are there in this one again? 140? 150? I am going to do as much as I can on my own.

I think I’m in the neighborhood of 135 shrines. I don’t really think I’ve googled any of them (finding or solving). Some of them are still a pain to find even with lightroots because you have to find a cave entrance way the hell away from actual shrine.

Fyi each region has a tree with pink leaves with a little shrine (the little statues with the plates in front) where if you “donate” an apple, a satori will appear and light up every cave entrance in that region for you

I did that once and I had no clue what was happening. Then I did something else and all the blue lights were gone.

dude that Tears Companion app, I had no idea it existed. How cool! I snagged the other Zelda ones that developer made. Fantastic resources.

as of last night i am at 108 shrines and 82 lightroots - my hyrule map is littered with pins of locations where i've found a lightroot but not the shrine haha

I’m at 113 light roots now. About to be 114. I’ve been focusing on those the past day or so. I’ll use them to reveal surface shrines that I don’t have yet. Then finish exploring the sky for shrines. Anything after that would likely be a shrine quest, so I may need to look it up if I can’t find the right people to talk to.

i have found just exploring the depths/uncovering lightroots to be one of the more fun things to do in the game. its oddly satisfying and rewarding seeing that small yellow light in the dark in the distance and making it there lol

I think one of the more challenging things with that is actually finding some of the chasms on the surface. I haven’t looked TOO hard in some areas, but a lot of those treasure points haven’t been touched because I even don’t know how to get down there lol.
