I think they’re asking if we actually do them on foot on the ground on the floor of the labyrinth or if we fly in from above and go straight to the room, assuming you remember from BOTW I def cheated and came from above straight into the main room.
it completely did not occur to me that the labyrinths would have the same path as they did in BOTW lol
Oh absolutely! My goal is to get to the very top and then just glide down, especially for the sky ones. If i'm after the treasure for the ground ones, I'll do the same, and just set the Sensor+ to find treasure chests.
Man, I hated the labyrinths in BOTW. I was hoping the upheaval caused them to shatter and it was just like a big quarry there now.
In TOTK the labyrinths on the ground literally lead you directly from the entrance to the end lol. You just follow some pinecones, it isn't even a puzzle
I’ve played 50 hours but feel like I haven’t accomplished anything. Still just the wind temple so far with close to 40 shrines completed. The last week I haven’t had much time to play so when I do I’m just exploding. Recently just finished all the sky towers so now I’ll focus on quests and finding armor bc I’m using a basic one now.
I always consider it a good sesh when you accomplish something, anything. Hour and a half after a few days off last night. 2 shrines, 3 lightroots, Yiga Mask and Twilight Tunic. Rist Mine sucked though, but cool how it mimics the surface.
Finally got to the end of the game but I don't really want to fight the last boss, so I'm working on finding all of the lightroots (so many lightroots) and doing as many shrines as possible. This definitely feels like one of those games where I'm going to complete just about everything and never play it again.
Just completed the jenga style shrine in Akkala. Also found the Yiga clan armor. Tonight has felt more eventful.
It'd be amazing if the Switch and this game had the scope for ongoing DLC, as in massive quests that are almost like 5-6 hour top-ups. Won't happen but would be amazing. I love this game so much, but after I complete as much as I can, I don't see myself revisiting it until I've forgotten a lot of it, or until my son is old enough to "retro-game" and plays this.
Today's adventure: more shrines. I also went to that labyrinth island via a cave and completed the first labyrinth. It required defeating another Phantom Ganon, but for some reason this one was actually not that terrible. I think it's cause I just had a good weapon and not cause I'm actually good or anything. I also found the Hudson Construction site and Tarrey Town, which is where I've stopped for the day, inside a nearby shrine there. I really am slowly working my way back to the Zoras, so I imagine I'll start moving the main quest along again fairly soonish. I also found my favorite of the Proving Grounds shrines: The Hunt. After killing the first bot and opening up the main chamber, I Ultrahanded those homing mechs inside the chamber while switched on, and got them to get almost every bot in the chamber to one side of the room. Then I entered and went along the opposite side and climbed to the top, where I killed the one archer bot. From there, I had all the parts I needed to make a homing mech of death and destruction that bombed and lasered the shit out of the rest of the bots while I watched from above like a cold-hearted fiend. Hunt? More like a massacre. Good times.
I beat my first ever Lynel tonight! One randomly just hanging out in the depths, Silver Mained Gloom one. Used the puffshrooms and never felt any fear. I never came close to beating one of those in BotW.
I'm still to this day yet to beat a Lynel. They're sitting there, on my BOTW game card, waiting. Waiting to school me yet again.
I feel like the flurry rushes are easier to do in this game. I am able to do them by reacting pretty early.
Idk if they’re easy or hard because I’m just bad at games, but I was nailing the flurry rushes left and right against the demon king. It was so satisfying
