I just did the depths version of the Colgera fight, and damn, this is a legitimate contender for my favorite boss in Zelda. Off the top of my head I can’t think of any I like more, and as for equals, all I’ve got is… Stallord, maybe? The part in the music where it interpolates the Dragon Roost Isle/Rito Village theme gave me chills. Again.
I'm now in the northeast corner of the map, starting to clear that area out and work my way down. Just got done getting the Travel Medallion and I'm in another shrine in that area, which is where I'm leaving off. I also finally found that Jenga shrine you guys were talking about. Neat stuff. I also like the shrine where I basically had to make a big fire wheel. Also, while I'm talking shrines, what the fuck is up with having a shrine with a sneak attack tutorial way up in a part of the map you probably wouldn't logically get to until some time into the game? Like... it seems weird. And random. Also, it sucked. I hate sneaking, it's so annoying. Anyway, it's so wild to look at my interactive map now and see huge swaths of empty land from where I've been. The only collectible I haven't been tracking are the Koroks, because fuck that.
Tracking the acorns through Lomei Labyrinth was fun. How the hell do I get to the labyrinth above it in the sky though?!
I just did all three labyrinth sets today. Your answers lie in the sky. your reward for beating all 3 is this: The most fun I’ve had in TotK was those labyrinth puzzles. Dope weapons too.
The labyrinths were some of my favorite parts of the game so far. I also use that armor a lot just because it looks so cool? Has anyone here gone back to the Great Sky Island and done the challenge at the roof of the arena? I still couldn’t beat it after tons of tries. Might be the most challenging quest for me so far.
The key there was the Zora armor and good stamina. Once I figured out I could hop from waterfall to waterfall to find the wood piles it helped.
This happened to me too. First time since the Tony Hawk series. It actually made me stop playing for a while. I don’t like being this obsessed haha.
Link's telling Zelda about hunting for food in the forest and she's like "Why didn't you just go to KFC?" (In Hyrule, the K stands for Kakariko)
Puffshrooms are the easiest way to cheese the Lynel coliseum And the Evil Armor looks cool but sadly can't be upgraded
I forgot about this one but if you wear your Yiga Clan costume/armor in Kakariko Village, they will basically tell you to take that shit off because it’s in poor taste. It was kind of funny the first time it happened to me. Ah thank you for this! I hadn’t gotten to explore this quest enough to know the waterfalls were abundant enough to use for the whole objective. I figured I would hit one and then be done for.
does everyone do the labyrinth on the ground or do we get to the top and jump across to where the final room is? I feel like I’m BOTW and the one I’ve done in TOTK, I cheese it every time and assumed everyone did this.
