Am I weird for never using a horse? I get immersed way more easily when I'm on foot, the horse is too much to worry about lol
No. I only use one or the zero cycle when I want to get somewhere specifically and don’t need to fast travel. Otherwise I am always on foot. It’s easier to miss stuff when you aren’t on foot.
What? Horses are a necessity a lot of times? Beyond like 3 korok seeds and the last battle... when are they necessary?
I guess they aren’t exactly a necessity, I just used them a lot. If you ever come across a Lynel or other beasts you aren’t powerful enough to take on yet - it’s a lot easier to evade them. Also if you get the Giant Horse, you can run over just about anything in your way. It’s fun when you get the occasional Bear and Deer mounts also.
They certainly have uses, but if you don’t really use one you don’t really miss anything , where as if you always use a horse you will likely miss something.
Yeah outside of the final battle, I’ve probably used a horse for like 5 minutes of my entire play time
I used a horse once and missed so much stuff just riding. I always walk/run and take my time to explore.
Well I beat Ganon His first form was easy as hell and took like 3 minutes. I didn't know there was a second form until it started. My joycon has been drifting like crazy and the horse controls are already bad so I ditched it and just fought on foot. I shot like 20 bomb arrows at that guy to no effect before realizing that I didn't have the Light Bow equipped lol. After that it was easy again. I guess it's Fire Emblem time.
horse controls were a pain in the ass and I would be jumping off so regularly to explore that it just wasn't worth it. I wish there was a better way to get around (give me some Sonic the Hedgehog Power Sneakers please)
I just finished the most intense/funnest shrine quest, Stranded On Even Tide. It’s an island all the way southeast of the map. A spirit takes away everything you own, except your abilities and upgrades, but you get it all back after. There’s a cooking pot, plants and fish to cook with, but also lots of enemies. Three balls are hidden around the island and you have to put them in different pedestals to raise the shrine.
