Not that I’ve ever noticed. I shoot those monsters in the face, run up, take a couple free swipes at them, and then mount them. I think early on I missed mounting maybe once? It’s never been an issue for me. I dunno.
What are some of your go-to recipes? I just throw stuff in a pot that seems to make sense. I've seen a video where a guy cooked 5 Razorshrooms to get a massive attack bonus and killed a Lynel just by shooting it in the face
I generally don’t bother with power up recipes. The only food I bother with is the green spiky ball thing. I’m totally blanking on the name like an idiot. Now that I’m all max hearts I just cook one. Early game I would do 3-4 to get more hearts. I honestly don’t know if anyway to one hit kill a lynel. The power ups only do so much.
You'll eventually get to the point where they're stupid easy. If I'm low on ancient arrows, I'll just go around farming guardians.
if you use the ancient arrow though doesn't it just completely disappear? like you don't get the loot and parts from it when you defeat it normally?
Yep. Which is why I forgot you could one hit kill a lynel because I have never used an ancient arrow on one.
you need ancient materials which you get from killing guardians and then going to the lab in North Akkala...best way to get these parts is to kill the guardians in the shrines (modest, moderate, etc. tests of strength). When the blood moon comes up, the enemies reset and so do the guardians in these shrines, you can replay them once you've defeated it. Farm for ancient screws, bolts, etc. and you can get arrows.
Ok cool I have tons of ancient stuff, I just need to light the furnace with the blue flame. Also is the barbarian equipment worth it? I have the helmet and leg wraps so far and I'll probably complete the set
Finally beat the Gerudo Divine Beast. I have to say, that dungeon was pretty damn obnoxious. I stumbled and bumbled through it but I didn't look anything up! Definitely the hardest boss too. I'm gonna get the Guardian Armor and a bunch of ancient arrows before I storm the castle. Are there any other finals preparations that are seen as highly beneficial before the end?
The Akkala region is beautiful I love the graphics in this game, it's like a perfect mix of the Ocarina and Wind Waker style
