I haven't done the coliseum one, but the Lynel in the castle was super easy to take down if you lure him into hitting the wall.
I don't find Lynels all that hard to defeat. Especially that one I pretty much was shooting from the 2nd level. But if you have Stasis+ they're not too hard. I also constantly have +11 hearts from collecting Hearty Durians in the lake areas all the time. I'm looking now to pretty much collect Korok Seeds so I can expand my weapons cache to the max and then collect all the best weapons before I face Ganon. One awesome thing about Lynels is they usually offer really great bows. I got a 32*5 bow a couple times from one.
I lost my 5 arrow bow in a lighting storm while fighting another lynell last night. Couldn't find it after I defeated him
I'm trying to upgrade all of my armor to the max and it's needed if you want to do that. You get awesome bonuses for upgrading most of the armor sets to the max so it's cool seeing what you get for each one.
As someone who mostly avoided Lynels I did not enjoy the Trial of the Sword Lynel fights with crappy armor and weapons. I think I just paused the game the first time getting to this point and said fuuuuuck that.
I have nothing to do but find korok seeds and fight lynels now. Let me just say, after fighting a couple lynels... it becomes so easy to defeat them. I used to be afraid of these fuckers.
Kind of like how Guardians are terrifying when you first start the game, but what a breeze to beat when you learn how.
Once I got the Hylian shield I stopped fearing guardians but I've only killed 1 Lynel and still fear them. Mainly because every one I see is Silver
I've only killed one Lynel too. It was a white one. I want tjay Hylian shield but you have to storm Hyrule to get it right? A Stalnox or something?
Pretty much. I didn't get it until after I beat Ganon but you can definitely get it whenever you want if you choose to
Going to storm Hyrule Castle this weekend. I just bought like 100 Ancient Arrows and 2 Ancient Bows. Also just upgraded my Ancient Armor set to thr max. Plus I have all kinds of Ancient weapons and shields. I think I'm ready. I've unlocked all 4 divine beasts and completed 80 of the 120 shrines. Speaking of the divine beats, does anyone ever use Revali's Revenge (I think that's what it's called). - where you jump high in the air? I can't ever think of a good time to use it. After you find the last of the 12 memories, does Impa let you get that orange ball next to her? I saw there is a place to put it next to the fairy fountain, but she won't let me get it now. I'm assuming you have to finish the captured memories main quest? Also, are the labyrinths the only place to find the Barbarian Armor set? I have the chest piece, but haven't been able to find the grieves or the helm. I upgraded the chest plate to level 3, but even if I do find the rest of the armor, I don't think I'll be able to upgrade them because I'm out of Lynel parts. How is everyone doing on their compendium? I think out of the ~350 possible pictures I've taken probably 250 so I'm getting really close. Also I'm like 150 hours into the game (it's really all I've played on the switch so far) so although I hate knowing I'm close to beating it, I'm running out of stuff to do besides going around and finding the last 40 shrines and the other 500 korok seeds.
I use this all the time for getting to high places while I'm wondering around Hyrule. I also find it's handy for using in fights to get out of situations when you’re being overwhelmed by enemies or to get above the enemies to use your bow in slow-mo. As for the ball by Impa, there's certain things you have to do to trigger it, I can't remember what they are off the top of my head but part of it is completing that quest. You sound like you're well ready for doing the main quest, I found Gannon relatively easy and I went in with way less stuff that that. I can't help with the other stuff though.
That sounds like a good idea. I need to use that and the special attack more. I keep forgetting about them. And yeah I'm not expecting it to be way difficult or anything especially after taking on the gannons from the divine beasts - which I found pretty easy considering how much I accomplished before I even started those. Oh okay that makes sense. I think the captured memories is the only one I haven't completed yet. Just lack one memory and that one is located inside Hyrule Castle.
