I made a point to not visit Hyrule Castle until I was ready for the final boss and I thought it was epic (the castle exploration, not the boss). Especially once that music kicks in.
I accidentally skipped the whole castle by climbing. I climbed by Zelda's room (the only room of the castle I saw) and then on to the boss entrance.
There's still some chance the DLC might add a few dungeons. I haven't even played the Master's Trial yet. Should be fun
If they could reintroduce dungeons and keep this open world format I think it could easily be the best game in the series.
Despite having this since release, I've only really gotten into playing it this week and last week. Today I put about 5 or 6 hours in. I mostly focused on grinding out shrines for enough orbs for enough hearts to get the Master Sword which I finally did! You probably already know about it, but just in case, there is an interactive Hyrule map here.
yeah, i made sure to check up on Zelda Dungeon when i started playing, haha. although i haven't felt the need to check a walkthrough since i'm just enjoying wandering through finding my own path to the objectives. that map is gonna come in handy eventually though bummer of having to use my brother's Switch is that the battery on the handheld screen i use never lasts long enough for me to get as far as i want. the main console is in his room/connected to his TV. i need to get my own Switch so bad
Over 120 hours into this. Just freed my third divine beast. I've completed 70 shrines and found 300 korok seeds. It's actually been nice waiting to do free these divine beasts because I have a bunch of really good weapons and have a bunch of hearts. I think I have 16 heart containers now and two and a half stamina wheels.
I don't see why they can't just have like 8 major dungeons like Ocarina of Time or Twilight Princess.
Agreed. I missed the idea of collecting something too like get all these Sage Coins or all these masks.
It was pretty easy to find the final Korok Seeds i needed since the map lets you check them off. Finding the two locations I missed was a huge pain though.
How did you guys finish the shrines? I've gone places I missed the map. Still need a couple more, some of which are shrine quests not activated!
Thanks for this map, this'll come in handy mopping up the last of the shrines and seeds I need to find.
Lmao I like the "open worlds" and the characters and so on. There is a reason WW and MM and now BotW are my favorites by far I guess.
I love being able to go back and kill the guardian scouts in the test of strength of shrines after every blood moon. It's a great way to rack up on ancient parts and ancient weapons. Plus I just learned you can use stasis on them and it makes it a whole lot easier.
Can someone tell me why or when the Master Sword does 60 attack damage? Most of the time it shows 30, but occasionally I see it glowing and shows 60. Also, when fighting guardians, I think you if you cut their legs off first, you get more ancient parts.
