I did water-thunder-wind and I'm getting ready to do fire. I didn't really have a problem with water or wind. Thunder was sooo frustrating. Took several attempts. I'm terrible at countering and especially perfect guarding against guardians. Ive never successfully perfect guarded. I just attack straight on as well. I'm kind of cheating in a way because I have all the amiibo so I'm never short on supplies and I have the fierce deity armor. Edit: didn't start using the amiibo until after the first two beasts though.
I finally made my way into Hyrule Castle and took down Ganon. Exploring the castle while that epic music plays was easily one of the highlights of the game for me. I loved it so much. I also love how the story really comes together once you find all of the memories and read the diaries inside the castle. This game is the best. Now time to hunt down the 19 remaining shrines, uprgrade armor and wait for DLC.
Knocked out eventide island and korok forest yesterday. The way I took out the sub boss on the island was one of the slowest things ever. I think it took like 45 minutes to defeat that one enemy
Just got shrine #113. So proud when I find one on a little clearing of the map. Don't know where I'd begin to search next. Edit: just got 114, I got lucky, wasn't even looking for a shrine.
I killed it by going halfway up the mountain by its legs and just tossing bombs at it, taking the smallest little percentage off of it's life. It took about 45 minutes. He would throw rocks but I was just out of reach
I feel like the only places I haven't been are to Hyrule castle and the Garudo desert and yet I only have 55 shrines completed.
Finished all the beasts. I might put this down for a little while. I want to get all the memories before I face Ganon. I need 5 more. I'm only at 53 shrines but I'm kinda at that point where I don't feel like going after more at this time
Memory finding tip: You know that dude painting in Kakariko Village who helps you find the first memory? You can find that same dude painting at various stables across Hyrule where he'll also offer up help upon request.
I grabbed all the memories without looking it up. It's tricky but it's possible especially with help from the horrible painter
I stumbled onto 5 memories on my own some how. I think because for the first month after the game came out the only thing I ever did was explore. Then I used the painter guy for 1 and looked up another.
Got all the memories. Really debating on if I want to face Ganon now or not. I feel like if I do, I won't want to pick this back up until the DLC. This has been such a great game and I'm surprised I've come this far in it. I never play games anymore, let alone get close to finishing them. I don't want it to end.
I finished it and I never go back to games but then I picked up again and just screwed around in the world, it's relaxing
