That does make it less likely. I'd like it if it was like an option you could pick from the menu though to start a separate thing. Otherwise I'm not sure where it makes sense. The ending definitely seems to set up potential for more content.
Every once in a while there are some cool posts like this of custom outfits on the BotW subreddit. Some pretty cool color combination ideas.
I haven't finished it either. Haven't played in like a month, I did three divine beasts, 45 shrines, and I only found one memory. I really wanna jump back on, possibly today?
No I've had it since launch I have only got two beasts done. I'm getting ready to do the third but I've just been trying to activate all the towers and find shrines/korok seeds/side quests in the meantime.
I haven't either, but by choice. I'm saved outside of Hyrule Castle with only beating Ganon left to do, just don't wanna do it until all the DLC is out because I'm weird.
So if you beat Ganon, can you still do all the little side quests after? What happens to your save file?
The save picks up with any new gear you acquired from the Ganon fight, but it's saved outside of Hyrule Castle as if you never beat him. There's no "postgame" in Zelda, and I kinda hate it.
It puts you back in front of the room where you fight Ganon (where you can just leave the area) as if you have never fought him, except now there is a little star next to your save file
Curious to see the speedrun record right now, it looks like with amiibo help, it is just under 40 minutes and without amiibo, about 42. That is insane.
I have the Goron divine beast left, along with a bunch on side quests. I think I've done about 40 shrines.
I think I have close to 90 shrines completed and just need to defeat Ganon at this point. Mario Kart and Fire Emblem have distracted me from finishing though. I'm hoping we get the first wave of DLC shortly after E3 to get me back into it.
Also I kind of skipped the castle, I appraoched the castle from behind, climb and glided up the cliff and towers and ended up right in front of Ganon lmao
I've had it since release as well, all 4 beasts are done with 77 shrines found. trying to get through the shrine quests that I have right now to see where that lands me in the overall total. I'll probably go to Ganon after that.
Wish I could find a Sheik amiibo without spending $70+ on it. Would love to have the headpiece it gives so I could role-play as my favorite TLOZ character.
I finished it like a monther after release. But I played like a hundred or so hours total. I purposely left out some of the shrines because I want to do a hard run when the DLC comes out.
Finally activated all the towers. Feels like I've done a ton of shrines but I'm only at like 32. Although I have about 5-6 that I activated but didn't do. This game is crazy. I'll start out with one goal and then just completely go off and get lost doing something else.
Yeah, I went water-fire-thunder-wind. Water was very hard given the swimming and it being my first, fire was easier because I was stronger and it avoided the somewhat finicky swimming controls, thunder was very hard even though I was "good" at the game at that point, and wind took me about thirty seconds. Was super weird how little of a challenge it was. It's funny, in watching some stuff online after I beat the game, I realized I had kind of brute forced a lot of it unintentionally while never learning how to do some of the more advanced counter attack combat stuff (like tbh I still have no idea how to trigger a flurry rush). Kind of cool that it seems like they knew there was so much to do in the game it'd be counterintuitive to stop progress cold with overly challenging bosses, while leaving the option there to easily make things a challenge for yourself.
