If you don't like Majora's Mask I can't help you.

Majoras Mask was just so...strange, in a magnificent way. It was the first game I ever played that was unsettling. Not in a scary way, just felt eerie.

Having beaten this around a month ago and having gotten every shrine, I've had no desire to come back to this or to get the DLC. As amazing as the gameplay is, at no point did the story even come close to captivating me, something that even Skyward Sword (previously lowest on my list of 3D Zelda games) managed to do for the first half of the game. This might seem like a hot take, but BOTW is my least favorite of the 3D installments.

Is it time for a rankings spree? I think it is. Only doing the 3D console games:

    1. Ocarina of Time
    2. Breath of the Wild
    3. Majora's Mask
    4. Wind Waker
    5. Skyward Sword
    6. Twilight Princess

It pains me to put TP last, but I bought the remake when it came out and I just totally stopped giving a shit after the first dungeon. That game has no replay value to me.

Twilight Princess was phenomenal except for those goddamn tears of light

Majora's Mask has such great stories. I miss side quests like that.

Yeah after being made to do that for the 3rd time (for Zora's Domain if I recall), I just fucking gave up.

    Wind Waker
    Majora's Mask
    Breath of the Wild
    Ocarina of Time
    Twilight Princess
    Skyward Sword

Something like that. Breath of the Wild is hard to rank because I have so much nostalgia attached to the others.

I liked windwaker more the second time I played it. I thought there was "enough" story in BOTW, but you guys are right that it was hard to feel captivated when there was so much time spent in the open world.

I really hope they port some of the older games to the Switch once they get a virtual console up and running. I've only played Ocarina and Botw out of the 3d games (I've played a bit of Majoras Mask but not enough to give a real verdict on it as I never owned it).

I haven't finished Botw yet (I've done the 4 beasts but I've been putting off heading to the castle while I mop up as much of the rest of the side quests, shrines and memories. As far as what I'd like from the next Zelda game, top of my list would definitely be more dungeons (preferably a bit harder than the beasts too).

A link to the past might still be my favorite as well. The story and the environments are just so awesome.

Nothing wrong with that. Just seems to me that the parts of LoZ you didn't enjoy are the ones that Breath of the Wild took.

I stopped playing because I didn't want to get burnt out. I'll do another playthrough once the final DLC is out. But BotW is definitely my favorite so far.

I'm very excited for the final DLC but Im not sure I'll ever feel compelled to replay this game which is a first for 3D Zelda's. The others all have dungeons and storys I'd like to play through again even if there's some sections that are a slog to get through but I feel satisfied with this after one playthrough.

Alright. Now I can rank these babies:

    1. Ocarina of Time
    2. Majora's Mask
    3. Breath of the Wild
    4. Wind Waker
    5. Skyward Sword
    6. Twilight Princess

TP has some of the best dungeons in the game and I love the characters, but the overworld is so bland and forgettable to me and the story as a whole just isn't all that interesting.

SS is easily the weakest in terms of exploration (being the least open world) which hurts it. But man, everything else, the gameplay, music, dungeons, and story are all amazing. It makes the lack of exploration a bigger shame.

WW is really tight. Some of the best exploration in the game and super fun. Only complaint is it's too easy, but that's a small complaint.

BotW is revolutionary. Obviously. And I love it. But it's kind of like the opposite of SS where the gameplay and exploration dominate the other stuff. But I mean, exploration is my favorite aspect of Zelda so not complaining. I would just love to see a more focused game next time around... Maybe even with the same overworld.

MM is my personal favorite. So dark, emotional, and weird. It feels revolutionary in a totally different way than BotW. It's a huge risk that feels like it should've bombed on the surface, but just succeeds on almost every level. I don't know if I'll ever get invested in a game like I did with this one.

OoT is just the best. Objectively. It's not necessarily my favorite, but I can't think of anything I'd change about it (gameplay, storyline, flow, dungeons, etc.). And it changed my life as a kid.

    Godddddddammit after I got my Switch, I put my Wii U away, which I now want to go dig out so I can re-finish Twilight Princess. But I'm just so lazy ;_;

My life is hard. These are the obstacles I must overcome.

I think Twilight Princess just gets better and better. The second half of that game is fantastic and the end is perfect. I think part of why the ending to BOTW disappointed me so much is how perfect most other Zelda endings are.

I can. Admittedly it's small, but it felt like a missed opportunity.
