How is the house related to that?

I bough the house early in the game so I may have not noticed it was needed.

 

Tarrey Town quest activates after the house is repaired.

 

God dammit, I've been searching high and low for heat resistant clothing. Of course it's locked behind the thing I've been procrastinating. Figured it'd show up nice and easy in a shop or something like the Rito set.

 

This is correct.

 

Isn't the woman's clothing from Gerudo heat resistant? Fire resistant ones also found in Goron City.

 

Fire resistance and heat resistance are different though. But yeah the women's gerudo clothes that you get work for the desert, just not the Flamebreaker/Goron set.

 

Are there any weapons that are unique, meaning that if you break them they are gone for good? Can you restore damaged weapons?

From what I found, no. I'm pretty sure I only found two unique weapons, both of which had ways to be repaired.

 

I'm reluctant to use some of the cool weapons I've found which I don't like. Do they have durability ratings?

 

I don't think there's a way to see it but behind the scenes they do - the guardian weapons' descriptions say that they're less durable and there are also some that say they're more durable. Don't know how varied that scale is though.

 

You need to get over that right away is my advice

 

^ also that, you'll find cool stuff all over the place, just use everything and don't worry about it.

I should have been more specific. The gear you get in Tarrey Town is the only hot weather gear you can upgrade.

 

What about the stuff from the GSC in Geurdo? I haven't tried to upgrade it yet myself.

 

I'm not sure I know what you are talking about. The women's clothing can't.

 

Might be wrong but I don't think that's a hot weather gear. More of a glow in the dark gear.

Just realized I think I have most of the armor sets, besides the attack up one.

 

There's two sets in the GSC

 

Oh, right. Yeah that's the same set as the one in Tarrey so it should be upgradeable.

 

Ah cool, I did gerudo before Tarrey Town. Forgot you could get it there.

What armors are people usingost of the time? I'm pretty comfy in the ancient armor with a diamond circlet.

 

I mix it up unless I need a full set for the bonus. Usually barbarian helm, climbing or champions tunic, and hylian pants.

 

Mostly using the stealth one. But the metal armor + a circlet looks so cool. I feel like I'm battle-ready Elrond lol.

 

I gave this guy 10 fire lizards so he gave me his coat against the heat. Will that one also work in the dessert?

 

Nope, it doesn't.

 

Do I need anything (besides cooking) against the heat to make it to the dessert town?
