Same here. I just picked up the deluxe guide and just by looking at the map I realized I hadn't even scratched the surface of the area after the great plains. I think I'm going to circle back and do a bit more exploring before moving on.
With a couple stamina bars and full climbing gear set you can practically spiderman your way up most mountains.
Yeah I think I'll get the guide after I finish the main story. I know I'm going to miss a ton of stuff.
I got the guide yesterday but I primarily play at night so it's not useful while I play. I feel like most guides are full of photos but this one has so much stuff packed into it that's there's so much text. It's crazy
Going through and getting all the ancient gear now. Does anyone have any recommendations about which weapons are worth my while? I'm investing In armor first because the thought of an expensive weapon breaking is making me anxious.
I haven't played this yet, but I'd be willing to bet there is an unbreakable weapon in the game a la the Big Goron Sword in OOT.
There are a couple of weapons that can be repaired if you have the right resources and the master sword technically doesn't break but it has a cooldown if you use it too much against regular enemies.
I think it got lost in the fray, so I'll ask again... does anyone know when Kilton's inventory expands. He's only selling 3 things for me.
I went to him and there were almost 20 items. I think the more divine beasts you beat, the more items that appear. I was able to purchase the Dark Link outfit.
Where the fuck is that tree with the maracas that will give me more weapon slots? He keeps disappearing. I've got a ton of seeds to give that asshole.
I was surprised I needed to complete a fairly challenging side quest to gain access to one of the Shrines. It was pretty cool having an extra barrier to entry besides just finding it.
Hyrule Forest/Lost Woods. From Kakariko Village check the different stables going there. Hestu will always be at one of those until you reach Lost Woods where it will permanently stay there.
My 3rd dungeon apparently is going to be Gerudo. I spent way too much time wandering around and taking picture of Link sneaking up on enemies. I even have one where it looks like he, a Moblin and 2 of those lightning jelly things are watching the sunset together.
I've spent 8 days playing this game non-stop mostly and I've still got more than 50% of the map blacked out. I'm killing so much time just cutting down trees and catching bugs and shit.
