Echoes of Wisdom was fun but towards the end I found the gameplay really repetitive. If they make another game with Zelda as the playable character hopefully they allow her to do more combat. Summoning echoes in the final boss fight was a snore

 

I'm just glad that EoW finally added the ability to favorite echoes that you can then filter on

At least I think that's new? I don't remember that from the first time I played unless I'm just being forgetful

 

I loved it. yeah I wish she fought a bit more but when you are in full power ghost mode at the end of the game it scratched that itch a bit

I would like to see a Zelda game where you play as Zelda and her as Sheik. Sheik hasn’t been in a game since Ocarina (outside of Smash). She needs to make a return.

There were rumors Retro studios pitched a game with Sheik as the main playable character but it didn’t get far.

 

What would be the purpose though? Of playing as Sheik?

 

I like the idea of Nintendo just creating a reimagined ocarina of time for Switch 2. Same plot and characters, but much larger and modernized. Not just a remaster, but a full redesign, even with different mechanics

 

You could give it a spy/espionage twist. Also more backstory on the sheikah tribe could be good narratively

Noooooooo!!! Haha TOTK not requiring stealth was such a clutch decision. I hate it unless it done just right or it gives you a fair chance to do so without it. BOTW does not allow any mercy for its stealth. Although, you can brute force the DLC’s return to the Yiga hideout. But the first trip and following the dumb korok in the forest are unforgiving. There are plenty of games where I enjoy stealth, but I don’t think it’s ever been a Zelda game.

 

You could do all that just playing as Zelda though. Sheik was just a disguise. Cultural appropriation.

 

Yeah but sheik plays like she has combat experience. Zelda exclusively uses magic from a distance

 

Sheik was my go to in Brawl. Spinaroonie all day

 

I can't speak for Smash Bros. or Hyrule Warriors, but Nintendo could easily make a warrior Zelda if they wanted to. I mean, every Zelda is different anyway.

 

But we already have a warrior Zelda which is Sheik. That’s why it would be make sense to bring her back

 

To keep this simple, let’s just set the next adventure in Termina or wherever and Zelda will just not be in it at all. I don’t love the idea, but feels like the easiest solution here.

On a serious note I would really like to see Vaati return as a villain.

 

Isn't Sheik a guy? Isn't that part of the disguise?

 

I just want to see Link and Zelda as a romantic couple. Not subtly hinting at it
