Definitely recommend upgrading the Hero of the Wild set if anyone hasn't done that. It's totally unnecessary and basically a post game activity, but it's worth doing just because it's so much fun. One of my favorite "quests" in the game and it squeezed a couple hours more out of it for me.

Had no idea you could upgrade the Sheikah Sensor until just now

Still having a lot of fun replaying from a new save on Switch 2. Just paid off all of my house upgrades. My goal this time around is collecting the champions weapons in here

Also decided to try out the Ultimate Software app on my phone for my 8bitdo controller, and it's nice mapping one of the back paddles to B so I can use the camera while running

I plan on going through this game again at some point since the Switch 2 edition allows for a second save file

Yep! Now you can finally start a new game without overwriting your old save file.

literally gonna start a new game tonight lol. i'm one of the weirdos that prefers BOTW over TOTK just because it's a more grounded game, but i've always been too afraid to wipe my save file so this is great news.

You're not a weirdo! I largely prefer BOTW. I've played 170 hours of it at least and is the only Zelda game I've beaten. I stopped playing TOTK like 70 hours in? It's good but just wasn't totally for me

all the crafting, going up the the sky, going down below -- i didn't find myself wanting to do all that. i just wanted to explore hyrule lol.

Yeah, I found the sky to be really repetitive with not much to do, and the depths just really don't have much going for it. The dungeons were too easy (easier than BOTW, especially the water and wind temples), and I don't really enjoy the creative aspect of building stuff, it just isn't for me

I also prefer BOTW over TOTK when it comes to exploration. Sure, TOTK makes it easier, but BOTW feels more authentic in a way I can't describe.

If you didn’t know, you can just create a new profile on your switch and then play the game under that to play multiple times without overwriting your old save. I have 5 LOL

The Depths really wore me out on ToTK whereas I don't think anything in BoTW really bothered me. Never finished ToTK ultimately.

I agree with the depths. I have no ambition or desire to go back down there.

I thought the dungeons and the run ups to the dungeons were way annoying in TotK, but I hate dungeons. Otherwise I prefer it to BotW I guess. Both amazing.

I did love the journey to the wind temple in TOTK. That was a lot of fun. The temple itself was just disappointing haha

Hated that in particular so much I almost quit the game haha
