So do we basically know for sure that they're porting some of the old main games to the Switch for the anniversary like they did for Mario or is that still just pure speculation? I haven't really followed video game news in a while, but that would be amazing
To be honest I personally think it looks less and less like we’re getting this as the months go by. It’s still weird to me that of all the games they could’ve remastered they went with Skyward Sword, but I think if they were porting any of the others we would’ve heard by now. I’d love to be wrong though. edit: if it does exist, I think E3 might be where they’d show it
The mario ports didn't get officially announced until what, end of august/start of september? I wouldn't completely rule it out just yet, but im also not getting my hopes up.
It's not weird, it was quite literally next in line, as they already did OoT, MM, WW and TP. Don't get me wrong, I have no interest in playing SkSw, but it was bound to be next.
OOT, MM, WW re-release would be crucial for me. OOT is my favorite game ever, I never played MM beyond the very beginning because my parents were unwilling to keep renting it from blockbuster, and WW i haven't played since it first came out and i think i'd appreciate it so much more now than back then. TP is great, but i just played it on my wii over the winter, so i don't have as much of a hankering. being able to get some of the handhelds i never played ported over to switch would also be amazing.
Technically speaking OOT3D actually released before Skyward Sword so I don’t really think there’s any reason we wouldn’t get OOT again, especially if we got Majora’s Mask
Would they be able to port the 3ds games to Switch or would they just port the N64 versions? I know virtually nothing on how the tech works.
So I just spent three hours prepping to finally fight Ganon, and between Urbosa's Fury and all the ancient arrows I had, not only has it not hard, I didn't even get hit.
I spent easily two hours yesterday trying to do a run down Hebra for one of the DLC shrines and failing every single time before I found out apparently you're supposed to surf down on your shield which I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW YOU COULD DO.
No! So I've just been running like mad, making all these stamina and haste potions, using the paraglider as much as I could, and using Revali's Gale and every single time I'll get to (what I assume is) the last ring literally one second too late.
Yeah, I think it would be extremely difficult to justify using the same exact map and it not feeling like DLC. My complete guess based on the trailer we’ve seen is this turns into a rescue mission to save Zelda from wherever Ganondorf takes her off to.
