Like the sense of exploration/discovery in this game is unmatched. Not even Skyrim(obvious comparison) gives me this much drive to see what’s out there.
There’s so much to explore, but somehow i always wind up in the Eldin mountains hunting for rare ore deposits and shooting ostriches.
The other day I was stoned and decided to hunt for the dragon scales. It took a few tries but was extremely fun and cool to see them up close. Wish they played a larger role in the games main plot but its also cool they are rare encounters, makes it all the more astonishing
Pretty disappointed in the loot at Colosseum Ruins. Unless I missed something there was only two chests. One with bomb arrows, and the other with amber. Took me a long time to take out the Lynel, and the other chumps. Was just surprised there wasn’t more.
Hmmmm the Lynel dropped the electric arrows, but the other monsters only dropped normal loot I’m p sure. Either way defeating a Lynel, and the elemental arrows are reward enough I guess.
I think there’s another chest hidden there with a piece of phantom armor, but I guess that’s DLC only. But yeah it’s great for getting lots of arrows and electric swords and whatnot.
haven't played this in a few months, will go back and finish all the dungeons soonish, only have like 10 left. Probably done after that until 2 comes out. Best game I've played in years.
I have only really started playing this recently. Got to the part where I found out about the Four Divine Beasts and am now so overwhelmed by the map!
Im liking this news because I've hit that point where I've now taken down 2 Divine Beasts (first play through), on my way to the third and I KNOW I am addicted. I JUST WANT TO EXPLORE.
IMO exploring the world and unlocking the towers, shrines, and eventually memories was more fun than the actual game story itself
So far, the story seems kinda predictable. That's not a bad thing but when I'm doing the side quests, unlocking the memories, shooting arrows at dragons and cooking some pretty damn good (and bad) recipes. The story doesn't seem bad, just basic but then I've only unlocked like 4 memories so correct me if it gets better.
the memories aren't completely integral to completing the main story, but i did feel that the main story itself was pretty bland and the memories really helped add some meat and potatoes to the backstory, and provide a little emotional depth.
ive said it before but I want to restart the game so I can re-discover everything but its seems so exhausting
