For real. That was so good. Such a weirdly corny yet extremely emotional scene and he played it perfectly.
That was a crazy finale. This show confuses me on the regular but some reason it’s just so addicting. The music in this show is so fucking good. The main theme they use all the time in variations in episodes is great. And I love all the cool cover songs.
The music in the show is some of the greatest of all time. It’s so evocative and emotional, it’s practically cheating to use it.
Been rewatching all of s3 today with my roommate, just came home and he was watching The Book of Kevin. This was such a spectacular season of television.
Wow I could not disagree more. That scene on the trampoline was one of my favorite things I watched this year!
Ha. Funny how people have such different takes. Idk. I just felt like nothing happened to progress the story. Everything just felt off and not important.
Once I finished Broadchurch S3 this is my next one. Not sure why I've slept on it for so long, seems to be right up my alley.
Just started this show Les Revenants (The Returned) and it reminds me a lot of The Leftovers-- very similar premise and tone. I haven't gotten very far yet, but it looks promising
Absolutely incredible show. Still haven't had the nerve to watch Season 2 because I think I'll find it too tough going after going through personal loss but you're right, if you like The Leftovers it's definitely a good one to try next. It sucks that there have been like 2 or 3 American remakes/copy cats. There's even an Australian show with a very similar premise on Netflix. Highly doubt any of them come close to Les Revenants... I am currently catching up on the final season of The Leftovers and of course it's amazing etc etc but Justin Theroux's beard is so fucking handsome. I keep getting distracted out of my existential angst because he's so damn gorgeous. Also the fact he is Louis Theroux's cousin is disconcerting and delightful.
Hoping season 3 gets better in the end. Has not been too enjoyable yet. Did we really need a Kevin Sr. centric episode in the final season? I am only halfway through 3x03 though.
I loved that episode. In my mind, there is not a moment wasted in the final season. It all somehow works together.
Agreed. The final season is fucking ridiculous, but they use every episode to make it believable/meaningful.
Bleh. I wish I was feeling like you all do. Not a fan of 3x03. I just don’t really care about Kevin Senior.
After reading your posts in this thread over the past few weeks, I just really don't think this series is for you.
Though I will say I did really enjoy a lot of the first and second seasons. Just haven’t felt that same enjoyment in the few episodes I’ve watched of season 3.
