Season continues to be excellent, of course Also great is some of the guest cast billings. Congrats on getting "Vigorous Hand Job Guy" on your IMDB, actor.
Matt episodes are the best. Though he's a little more delusional and desperate than usual...I guess dying will do that to you. This David Burton stuff is so confusing.
I'm glad we got an answer to the explosion mentioned at the end of last week's episode... but I also expected it to be more than it was? Which is saying something for a nuclear explosion. But an uninhabited island wasn't the location I expected?
There were some incredible scenes in this one but overall it was probably my least favorite episode of the show since the first month it aired. Feels almost foolish to say this with everything crazy that's already happened this season but this Australian "rescue" mission seems forced and for the first time in a season and a half I found myself questioning plot choices mid episode. David Burton is fascinating as shit though.
[SPOILERS] TRANSLATION OF THE INTRO OF EPISODE 5 SEASON 3 [SPOILERS] TRANSLATION OF THE INTRO OF EPISODE 5 SEASON 3 • r/TheLeftovers I thought about Grace's story to Kevin Sr a lot during this ep. Was Matt's convo with David Burton enough to shake his faith? He didn't seem to care about his mission as much by the end. I have no clue how they're gonna wrap this up and I'm sad there's only 3 episodes left.
I feel like David getting eaten by the lion may restore Matt's faith? It seems weird to put the "no I have no pressing business" line in there just to have Matt's faith restored a minute later....but Matt has to realize that David Burton wouldn't have gotten eaten by that lion if Matt hadn't snitched on him. And Matt is obviously a big believer in everything happening for a reason/having a purpose. Seems like he'll convince himself it was another "test" from God. But I also think David Burton has to be dead while Kevin is dead because he seems pretty important to guiding Kevin out of the Other Side, since he's helped done so twice already.
Fuck, I forgot this season was only eight episodes. that translation tho, gonna miss this show (and my time with it was so short, catching up only a couple months ago)
episode 7 title so spoiler tagging but this excites me Episode 7 is titled The Most Powerful Man in the World (and His Identical Twin Brother). David Burton mentioned Jesus having a twin last night... also this episode has the same writing team and director as International Assassin
I think I heard on the news report that it hit a volcanic island, so I guess its not really a spoiler at this point
looks like next week will be a Lori centric episode. I'm excited about that. Btw Garvey Jr? where he at?
I agree. I loved the first episode of the season and then Kevin and Nora hitting Australia. I'm just so mixed on the rest of the episodes. I have to assume they will play better in context with how the series plays out.
I loved this episode, the scene with Matt and David Burton was so goddamn good. They used my favorite score from this show for it too.
