Huge lost feeling this week with an episode being dedicated to an entire characters backstory (or in this case...what has this character been doing lately)
Cool to get a Kevin Sr. ep. His irreverence cracks me up. The one-on-one conversation scenes were great in this, particularly that last one. Can't wait for next week.
I don't know why I haven't watched this damn season yet. I think I'm subconsciously waiting until it's over so that way I don't have to tolerate this weekly lull.
honestly, this is a show that benefits from gestation. Also, I wouldn't want to go through 8 straight hours of this emotional turmoil hahahaha
I watched the past two seasons live, and man it sucked. Off topic, but I watched both Lost and Breaking Bad (except the second half of the last season) on Netflix. I honestly couldn't imagine waiting every week, especially for Lost since so many of those episodes ended on a WTF type moment.
I started watching Lost when the first episode aired so six years of that really helped me become patient with waiting week to week for shows
I'm curious why you would lump The Leftovers in with the other two? The mystery of The Leftovers is taking a backseat to the themes and concepts that they're exploring for me (especially the new season), so giving me a week between episodes is giving me some time and perspective to reflect on how those themes make me approach the next episode. I definitely don't get that same experience watching GOT.
Just because of my personal taste and how I felt when the episode ended. Certain shows make you wonder wtf is happening next, for one reason or another, and those were the more recent shows to do it for me. I watched Lost years after the series finale aired, like in 2013.
Ah but that was the best part of watching LOST live! You had a whole week to rewatch for easter eggs and scurry the internet for interesting theories.
No way. If something ends on a cliffhanger, I get annoyed if I can't immediately watch the next episode.
I binge watched this on my rewatch of the first two seasons but I wouldn't dream of waiting to binge this season. Half the fun is chatting in here or the subreddit between episodes.
So, I was just digging around on IMDB for something random and came across this, which made me chuckle.
Just now starting this show. Since season 3 is currently on, though, I'll probably have to avoid this thread for a bit until I catch up haha.
