    The Leftovers is an American television drama series created by Damon Lindelof and Tom Perrotta, airing on HBO. It is based on Perrotta's novel of the same name. The pilot was written by Lindelof and Perrotta, and directed by Peter Berg. The series stars Justin Theroux, Amy Brenneman, Christopher Eccleston, Liv Tyler, Chris Zylka, Margaret Qualley, Carrie Coon, and Ann Dowd. The series premiered on HBO on June 29, 2014 and was renewed for a second season, which premiered on October 4, 2015; and concluded December 6, 2015. On December 10, 2015, HBO renewed the show for a third and final season.

    So glad this show is going to get a third and final season. Season two was fantastic.

    I've been thinking about re-watching this entire series again. That second season was something else entirely. So great.

    I loved every bit about the second season. I think, though, that seeing Justin Theroux again would just piss me off because I'm trying to get in shape and having the damndest time.

    I loved season 2. I am really glad this show is getting a final season so we can all get closure.

    If there's one thing I'm not expecting from this show, it's probably closure if we're being honest.

    Season 2 was one of the best seasons of television I've ever seen.

    Sub. Season 2 was my favorite season of tv last year, and I'll likely re-watch it at some point this year.

    Remember on AP when I was gungho about how the show should have ended after 1 season because it wrapped up the narrative perfectly and could only ruin itself from there?

    I've been putting it off until maybe next week because I'm afraid of that. I'm glad I stuck with season 1 just for season 2.

    Season 1 was good but it was too bleak. I appreciated the moments of levity in S2.

    It was definitely a huge leap for the show, to go past what was in the book, but boy did they do it well
