FUCK!!! Just went to the site and saw it was down. Came here to see if anyone was talking about. I'm SO bummed. Been there since it started and had a ton of upload ratio. Didn't even get to use my 15 current FL tokens which pisses me off big time lol. I already feel lost without it. Can't even check my backup site of "Waffles" either due to that going down a few months ago. 2016 is a cold hard bitch!!! Don't suppose you know of any good alternative torrent sites do you (mostly music)? What sucks the most is that place was literally an archive, lots of shit you can't find ANYWHERE else. No site will ever come close to being as big as What! Not to me at least. This is SO shit!!!
You are bloody brilliant! Oh my goodness, thank you so so much! If you have any other Coldplay instrumentals other than the ones I listed, do please send them my way and a major thank you again!
Hi folks. Anyone got the 3 new bowie songs on the lazarus soundtrack? iTunes doesn't allow you to buy the tracks individually.
Thanks a bunch! I managed to get a slightly better quality rip off YouTube but I appreciate you helping out. Have a great day.
I was wondering if anyone here picked up the new BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge 2016 CD(s)? I'm looking for a couple of tracks off it but the damn thing is album only everywhere i look and don't wanna spend a lot just for 2 tracks.
Yup - pretty surreal to be honest. I blame this douchbag for drawing so much attention to the site. I mean really - you're a freakin' billionaire & you have to beg for an invite on Twitter? What a stooge.. The site had survived for almost a decade with a 100K members, but within weeks of him drawing attention to the site, it's then gone.. What's legacy will be that it was easily the single largest repository for quality music in the world. It was what iTunes SHOULD be in so far as it's diversity, archiving, etc. It will be SORELY missed - by those of us who still believe in quality music, not just "McMusic" that the masses are more than happy to consume. RIP indeed Rippy
Hello there, relative n00b here, but I was on the old B-Sides thread for awhile years back, I believe my username back then was whoa_oo_whoa (ah high school...). I disappeared, real life happened and all, and then I stumbled into accounts with certain trackers so I was pretty set. Alas, with the recent news, I, like many of you, have been forced to find other means to quench my thirst for rarities. I do remember many of you from my previous stint here, and still appreciate the help I got here finding quite a few gems. I've just recently done a massive update on my music library, so I have quite a bit more available now. *Edited: PM me if you want a full list of bands* So I'd say about 85% of rarities I have are in FLAC, 10% in varying mp3/m4a, and the other 5% I'm still hunting for. Trick is, none of this is uploaded anywhere right now, so it won't all be at the drop of a hat, but lemme know what you need and it will happen soon. There were a lot of Jimmy Eat World requests a few pages back, and weezer's Prom Night as well. Do people still need these? If so, I have all in FLAC (except the iTunes only tracks and Jen which is mp3 only). There are also a few tracks that have floated around here recently that I had been looking for, but the links were either PMed or don't work anymore, so I would graciously request a re-link to: Death Cab For Cutie - Tractor Rape Chain (is this even a real Death Cab song? never heard of it...) Incubus - Little Kitten, Big Litter Box (Morning View outtake) Jimmy Eat World - My Enemy weezer live from spotify Any help would be much appreciated, and in the coming weeks I will start filling requests.
Perhaps a tad more discretion might be prudent. The mighty "W" was built on the "Ack-Ack-A-Dak" principle and I've come to enjoy our new little corner of the sandbox here...
anyone got a rip of Eight Year Half Life by Ned's Atomic Dustbin? its not an official release but I can't find it anywhere, cheers for any help.
My bad, I haven't checked in on this site in a bit...understandably depressed about the whole situation. Hopefully we do create new angst against the government with some great tunes. I live in Dallas, and iheart media just got rid of one of the stations I've listened to for most of my life while trying to catch some of that angst. So R.I.P. 102.1 The Edge as well. Oddly enough, I'm having trouble accessing stuff on the guitars101 forum now as well. As John Oliver said, F#$* 2016
I always had wanted to check out whatcd, but I respected their invite rules. It sucks that someone so rich and greedy destroyed a great place for members like you guys- he could have just bought anything he wanted and never blinked at the cost :( RIP I wonder if karma will ever catch up to him
It's already happened - just in the oral fashion. For those who don't know, he's more "famous" as the drug company czar who raised the price of some of his products by like 500% or something (just because he could) and then he also bought the only copy of the Wu Tang Clan's last album for 2 million dollars. Guy's a class A douche for sure..
Would mind sharing? 'Cause I love that version of the song; just never been able to find a better quality.
