They could do Abby’s part in 4 episodes and then 3 episodes of Santa Barbara and end it next season.

Yeah especially because elsewhere in the interview he says S3 will also probably be longer than S2, and it's like.......S2 really could and should have had more episodes. 7 wasn't enough.

 

I have to admit, the idea of stretching Santa Barbara to S4 would be pretty nice…you could really flesh out The Rattlers and make Abby and Ellie’s feud small in the grand scheme of it all. There is definitely more to work with there. But man…that is a long, long wait.

 

The only reason I could think that season 3 would be longer is to have more time with Lev and Yara (and I suppose Abby), to make those moments more impactful.

Also with two years between seasons, I could potentially see Part III and a hypothetical season 5 both releasing in 2031.

 

Bold to think we'll all still be alive by then.

 

I'd wager they're going to do all of Abby's flashbacks, and probably a dedicated Seraphite episode, so I think they could at least do 6 for season 3

 

Also in this he mentions that he thinks it could be longer than season 2

Yeah that’s fair but you never know! Cory Barlog didn’t direct Ragnarok after directing GOW 2018.

Yeah I get that, and makes sense. I’m just grasping for straws lol. I saw after I posted it that it seems it’s probably a rumored game being directed by Shaun Escayg who did Uncharted Lost Legacy

Actors have been quoted recently saying that they’re currently doing motion capture for it, which would imply that they’re still pretty far out on it.

 

Also, the most we know about the story is that the main character crashes onto a mysterious planet and encounters members of an ancient religion or something like that.

 

Kind of funny seeing Tati Gabrielle in the show and on You being bald and jacked, and is also bald and jacked in Intergalactic so I’m wondering how close all 3 were filmed.

 

This came out today, they’re keeping the story pretty under wraps.

 

I see what they mean, but I do find it kind of funny how they’re mentioning “preventing leaks” and “doing it the way TLOU2 did” in the same string there.
