I was making reference to the science museum part where Ellie looks at dinosaurs and plays dressup as an astronaut lol

 

Booted up this game for the first time since beating it 5 years ago. Was interested to see how the show changed stuff since my memory of events is mostly there but forgot a few things and how it all plays out.

 

Next weeks gotta be the museum scene right? Gonna be so good.

 

As far as the park scene; in the game

Ellie fights a bunch of Stalkers in a building (alone), eventually she gets tackled by one out the window and ends up in the water/sewer systems strong current. Once she comes out of the sewers, she sees a map and decides to walk through the park to get to the hospital. Once she starts walking into the park she immedicably get hits with an arrow. Then you do a bunch of video gamey stuff and stealth through the woods and kill a bunch of Scars. Eventually you get to the part where there's a few Scars hanging a WLF guy, but like others said, not a cut scene. You do more video gamey stuff through the parking garage, couple more buildings, etc. until she goes through some water and comes out near the hospital and looks for Nora.

 

Yeah, next week will be all flashbacks, then finale will be Jesse and Ellie going out for Tommy, they split up, Ellie goes to the aquarium, then end at the theatre cliffhanger.

 

Oh man, I just got to another flashback, a quick one. But it's when Ellie is at the firefly hospital and and going through papers and audio tapes. Then Joel comes and finds her and he confronts him about "what exactly happened here." And he tells her and the part where she says "DONT FUCKING TOUCH ME" Hollllly. I wonder if that'll be in the next episode.

It'll tie into the part where Nora asks Ellie if she knows what Joel did and she says "I know"

 

I’m convinced by the teaser for next week that it’ll be all the Ellie flashbacks that happen during her portion of the game.

 

Yeah, I’m thinking we get all of them next week too. Plus the Eugene backstory. Next week will be a very Joel centric episode, is my guess.

 

With Eugene now a factor in the show, I do not think they will need Ellie to have gone back to the hospital.

Theory for next week: I could see Eugene recognizing her at Jackson, getting her alone and explaining what happened, then Joel finding out and killing Eugene as one final door to shut to keep her safe.

 

I mean, I can’t tell for sure based on how little of the background that can be seen in the teaser, but there’s a shot of Bella that would 100% fit in that flashback scene.

I also think showing it from both Ellie and Abby’s POV at least once is important. I’m not against it if they change this, but I do find the repeated walks through that hallway in the game are really effective. It really helps connect Abby and Ellie as being so affected by that event. We shall see.

 

Also realized this morning that by changing Dina’s backstory and giving her a clear understanding and motivation for never giving up hunting down someone who hurt a loved one could change things in the time jump.

 

Yeah I think Joel killing Eugene because he has pieced together who and what they did makes sense. Thats been my thought all along.

 

ehhhh idk if it's that if that's the case, Catherine O'Hara's character wouldn't have been like "I get why you did what you did but..." with him because she clearly doesn't know what was found in the hospital since joel stops just short of revealing it in the therapy session

 

It’s possible that it does happen like theorized above, but it happens outside of Jackson where Catherine O’Hara’s character could not know the truth. What she believes could be a lie Joel tells to cover it up, perhaps with Ellie’s reluctant help.

 

you say the guy was bit so you had to put him down. Gail is upset because it can take a few days to turn even if you're bit you could still say some final goodbyes but that didn't happen. obviously all speculation and could be way off. I don't really remember how Ellie finds out what joel did in the game anymore.

Ya’ll think they’ll have show Ellie really kill a pregnant woman and a dog? A lot of that is what made Abby’s perspective work so well.

 

The dog in the last episode was named Bonnie, but I can’t remember if that’s the name of the dog at the aquarium or not. The name is familiar though. I definitely think Mel will be pregnant though. The panic attack it induces in Ellie after she finds out is a key moment, I feel.

 

Dog’s name is Alice.

And yes I think both happen.

 

Is Bonnie the one Abby plays with on her way out of the stadium?
