i think it's more brutal that she stabbed him with it because it was already broken because she'd already been hitting him with it. explains why she was punching him by the time ellie got there. ellie's pov of him with it sticking out his neck, then ellie crawling over to him and holding his hand. bella is absolutely devastating. but also holy shit kaitlyn. that monologue. i've liked every change they've made from the game so far, it's a good mix of adding to the source material in some scenes and almost being a one to one recreation in others

 

side note, replaying the game: museum flashback in black and white filter has a really solemn feel despite being one of the only moments of levity in the game.

i got through ellie's seattle day two really quickly this time around. i was too much of a perfectionist first playthrough and restarted encounters excessively when things didn't go how i wanted. now with infinite ammo/crafting i just blast my way through with shotgun and bombs

 

It’s so fun blasting through on replays.

Someone in the other thread said they found Abby annoying and hypocritical. I personally don't find her annoying, but I do think she's supposed to be hypocritical, that's the point. She's so consumed by her grief right now, and only in her quest to save Yara and Lev does she begin to understand the main theme of the game that perpetuating cycles of violence leaves you feeling empty.

And also, wasn't Ellie hypocritical for killing a pregnant woman when her girlfriend was also pregnant? Yeah she didn't know but still

 

I don’t think you should be viewed as a hypocrite for information you do not know.

 

Not posting in the show thread to tip off how much she'll be in the season I'm guessing she is probably only going to appear at the end of the season after next weeks's episode. Any more and I think that would push her over the guest actor threshold.

Possibly but I'm not sure. It'll be interesting to see how they do the timeline going forward since their stories pretty much happen concurrently.

7 - marina & theater

 

Yeah that makes sense. I was kinda hoping to see how they'd structure it in chronological order. I guess we'll have ppl hating Kaitlyn for a year before we get Abby's side of the story

 

This is going up to S4 right? I wonder if they’re planning on S3 being mostly from Abby’s POV and have S4 start with Ellie on the farm.

My god I didn’t think I was gonna watch this season at all but the show sucked me right back in. Bella Ramsey, what an actor. One of the best to ever do it.

 

still can’t really place who i think tony dalton is playing unless it’s a show invention

 

I was thinking about this too. My thought was Boris, the character that was in the various notes in Hillcrest. He didn’t want to evacuate and be forced to live in the stadium. He ended up getting bitten and locked himself into a garage with other infected. It’s an optional area and if you open it a bunch of infected run out.

Thought maybe they could show a flashback in the Isaac episode when the WLF first formed.

 

Loved that story in the game

They’ve talked about potentially having a third season for part two so that would probably be all Santa Barbara.

Obviously we’ll have some clarity within the next two episodes though.
