It’s the 11th episode of the show. It says season 2 episode 2 below that. I’m guessing that they are assuming the “graphic violence” warning is meaning that moment.

 

Yeah there were 9 in the first season so 11 would be the 2nd of this season.

 

Oh duh ok. I mean, I just think “graphic violence” could apply to literally any episode of this show lol so I’m not sure why we’re reading into that.

 

After a quick look at their schedule, that episode is the only one tagged for "graphic violence". They are re-airing the first season before the premiere and they all just say "violence"

 

it also just lines up with whereabouts I remember it happening in the game.

 

Yeah it makes sense to me that it would be the second. We get the whole re-introduction of Jackson, then them going out on patrol. I'd imagine the the first episode would end with Joel either trying to help Abby escape the hoard or them getting to the lodge.

 

to be fair putting it at the end of episode 1 sure would get people talking lol

 

I could definitely see the “you don’t get to rush this” and first whack and cut to black being the end of episode 1.

 

Including his knee getting blown away would certainly show the severity of his circumstances, too.

 

That’s also when we cut to Ellie’s perspective going to find him, which will leave the audience guessing for a week on whether he’ll survive.

Yeah I forgot the review embargo for the premiere doesn't lift until after the episode airs so we're at least getting something in regards to that I'd guess.

 

maybe we get a club swing at the end of episode 1 and the impact in episode 2 lol

It’s happening in ep 2 which I’ve guessed all along. I do the best at this
