Didn't post this in the show thread because of the Abby poster. I'm sure people will see it but I don't want anyone to get mad at me if they are trying to avoid promotional material lol. Kind of surprised they are alluding to the connection of Abby to Joel and Ellie already. Unless they're planning on putting it in a trailer soon.

 

I mean, their connection will likely be covered in episode 1, 2 at the latest. Implying connection isn’t really a spoiler, IMO.

 

I seem to recall someone yelling at me for guessing Ashley Johnson was playing Ellie's mother after she appeared pregant in a trailer in a scene that didn't exist in the game.

 

It would be funny if it was me. That’d be classic hilarious to me. I hope it was me now.

If it was me, Joel getting killed in the second game spoiled for me in that thread I think either around episode 2 or even before the premiere. It was super early on. So I could see being sensitive to spoilers.

Hmmm...feel like this may just be him trying to temper expectations for a part III to come any time soon because why else would he have even mentioned it in the TLOU2 doc?

 

From what I understand part 3 was supposed to come out before the game they just announced but was (soft) rebooted because a bunch of staff from factions came back and had different ideas so production went ahead on the other project.

he is speaking truth, sadly.

 

That's a bummer. I definitely want to see them branch out so I'm looking forward to Intergalactic.

But I would like to see Ellie's story come full circle and have her get closure on not being able to make the choice to help find a cure.

The shot of Ellie and Joel when she first started getting the tattoo got to me.

I just started a TLOU2 playthrough and a thought just hit me. They originally had Abby going into Jackson before she killed Joel and hiding that she had a motive but they cut it, I wonder if that was in play for the first season of the show?

 

Have already discovered I’m gonna have to use melee more lol

 

Episode 1 is titled Future Days.
Episode 2 is titled Through the Valley.
Both are 60 minutes.

Hoping this means we’re actually getting both of those songs.

 

Damn. I really don’t think they go golfing in the first ep but the episode length makes me question that

 

Ending episode one with golfing just seems to make sense.

There’s enough flashbacks in the game that they could still put him in every episode if they wanted to.

 

He’ll definitely be in at least half of the episodes.

 

He could probably appear at in future seasons too. Isn’t the scene where they try to reconcile the day before he dies at the very end of the game?

 

Yeah, but there have been shots in the trailer that indicate it will happen this season.
