Two episodes in. I like it so far, but I'm not hooked. The best bits have all been in the cold opens. I recall episode three getting a ton of buzz, so I'll stick with it.
You’re either going to love episode 3 or you’re going to reactivate your Facebook account and get yourself banned from the LoU Facebook group.
Fantastic episode. Easily the best so far. The ending was beautiful. The only bummer about it is they'll be no more Bill and Frank (I'm assuming). Safe to say I'm hooked now.
The amount of chuds tweeting shit like, “I thought this was a zombie show!” Or like, “what about children?” The worst.
I can only imagine the cope they were feeling after seeing an anti-government be a real survivor and then having to wrap their head around the fact that gay people exist.
Episodes 4 & 5 are brutal. I had a feeling 5 was going to end like that but it still felt like a gut punch.
I was just thinking of this show when I was at the eye doctor yesterday. We're 20 years into the apocalypse in this timeline and so contact lenses would be expired. I presume they're not still creating them I'm the show? So theoretically unless you wore glasses which would be risky outside of the quarantine zones cause they could fall off or break easily, tons of people should be blind. Eventually would evolution take over and only those with good eyesight would procreate? Cause me in an apocalypse situation with no glasses or contacts would be a disaster. I'd die in a day. That would be my biggest threat cause I can't see anything. I'd walk right into a zombie thinking it's a bush. These are the deep thoughts I had at the doctor office while I'm waiting for my appt to start
Anyone with any sort of physical disability would probably not last very long. They might be more communal in the more organized cities, though.
Just finished. This show was great. Episodes three and seven were standouts, but pretty much everything from three onwards worked for me. I did find some of the villains a little cartoonish at times, but they still did a good job of establishing motivations and why they are they've become so extreme (thinking Kathleen and David) overall I'm excited for more. I've heard opinions on the second game are extremely polarized, so I'll be interested to see where it goes.
Good for them for changing course to support the strike. Sounds like they were going to use game dialogue because there aren’t any finished scripts yet.
