Sorry I don’t really understand how an inference about a shot in the trailer, that isn’t game material btw, is a spoiler but people openly posting plot points immediately after the episode isn’t.

 

I don't recall a trailer where a character is defined as her mother but I guess I missed it

 

There is a clear shot of a woman holding a baby that hasn’t been show yet. It hasn’t been clarified but I think you can infer without it being a spoiler.

 

This always bothered me in the game too lol, but I’m a little more willing to suspend disbelief there. It’s ridiculous that Ellie shoots a little bottle of medicine into him and he’s magically well enough to get up, walk for miles to a nearby town, and kill some guys along the way.

 

How in the world does that tell you who’s mother it is?

I literally said it’s not game material and the actress played Ellie in the game.

 

Felt like a lottttt happened in a little over a days time. Minor quibble.

Yeah I will say the show's pacing is a ton quicker than the game's, I have found myself wondering how non-game players are finding the pacing of how quickly things happen sometimes

 

It’s an honest question. I haven’t played the game. How would you know who that character is?

Works just fine for me. Since I have nothing to base it on, it’s hard to say it’s too fast or too slow when compared to the game. In general, I think it’s done a good job of balancing the types of episodes and set pieces.

 

Okay. Than how would you know the character is who you said? I’m not mad. I’ve already been spoiled about something big for next season, I’m just along for the ride. If it’s not game related, how would one know?

@Greg Since you already saw the minor spoiler, this is another one so don't open it if you don't want, but Ellie's mom will almost certainly just be a flashback unless they've made a massive change so it's not really a major spoiler like you may think

 

I understand. But do you know to guess that character based on a leak? Or did I miss something? Like how would one guess that if it’s not game content. You picking up what I’m putting down?

 

The casting is known. She is identifiable in the original trailer shot and the role is infered.

It is not a leak.

 

Without context, that character doesn’t reveal much to me. The major spoiler I did see weeks ago did though haha your guess would make sense. But what makes you think they would include that character?

 

Casting as in who they are playing? Or just that they are in the cast?
