Last of Us is an HBO television show about a post apocalyptic world which was ravaged by zombie like humans infected by mutated fungus.
I dont know what this means except.. dont ever get emotional at media, because if you reframe what youre watching in the context of the worst thing imaginable, its not that sad? Whats wrong with getting lost in an hour of story telling week to week, and if it makes you feel things, just feel them? And whats wrong with recognizing that what resonates with others, doesnt have to resonate with you and it doesnt have to be reasoned? That can just be a fact. Those complaining about the back story episode, thats fine, but this already exisited almost exactly the same in the game, so maybe some of us didnt have the chance to be underwhelemed because this bit of the story was always going to be set in stone. I dont understand how it could be argued though that it didnt add some significant growth or explanation to Ellies character. Ill never have the option of watching this show of wondering where major story beats are going to go. Bill and Frank was a deviation, but the tragedy was already built into the games bones.
I suppose when you reduce anything down to 'just' a TV or movie there's no point feeling any emotion toward it. Interesting take haha.
I agree with what you’re saying. Long story short, the original comment I made was sarcastic (and my first reply or two were also) but it was dry and without context so the ensuing confusion is my fault. Apologies for that.
Looking forward to tonight’s episode and the 100% certainty that this thread won’t be annoying for a week afterwards!
Interested to see how far they go with the interrogation. I know they’ve talked about toning it down some but I feel like this scene will be in.
I wish we could get a short before each episode of that couple in their little cabin from a few eps ago just talking and living their lives lol I loved them
Lighthearted animated spin-off cartoon in that specific vein of 90s/2000s Saturday morning cartoon spin-offs they’d do like Ace Ventura, The Mask, Mr. Bean, and other shows listed here: https://www.denofgeek.com/movies/the-animated-spinoffs-that-rebooted-90s-movies/
Just rewatched with my gf because she hadn’t seen it yet and I enjoyed it more than the first time. Can’t wait for tonight’s episode.
Finally had a chance to watch Episode 7. Another great episode. It definitely wasn't what I was expecting from this episode at all, but it was beautiful. Some really powerful yet subtle acting from Bella Ramsey. Can't wait to see what the last two episodes have in store.
