Loved the pearl jam choice. All or None is so good. Episode was very enjoyable.

My only complaint is it sounds like they had him come into a studio and record it. I woulda just taken the audio from the show! It’s such a perfect cut of it

My argument against the 'it's not moving the plot forward' critique is that there are millions of people watching the show, who haven't played the game, who have no idea where the plot is even going. It's not a particularly compelling criticism.

The story is about love, and asking is surviving enough. Joel's throwaway line about Endure and survive gave that away. The tone of the show should be clear now, it was never going to be run and gun. The best, most memorable bits of the game are the little moments shared between characters.

 

I'm also not sure what showing more of Ellie trying to save Joel would have achieved.

 

Didn’t care much for this episode, but Storm was great and we got to hear a quick snippet of, “The Choice,” from the original game soundtrack… so I’m content.

 

The only issue I have had with the soundtrack so far is the rooftop scene in this last episode. That was uh... pretty bad in my opinion and as serious and straight faced, and into this show as I normally am, I found it really hard not to laugh. I think that whole scene was just incredibly goofy.

I can't find it on the soundtrack though... anyone know which one it is? I'm in the right section, looks like tracks 45-51 are from this episode but it doesn't seem to be one of those.

Left behind is a banger though. I am so glad that they kept that in the show. It fits the emotional finale of the episode so well.

 

Not going to bother posting it here because it's not much info but Pedro told Collider that there is a chance they start filming for season two this year. So maybe a little less time waiting between seasons than initially anticipated.

I'd still guess HOTD first but who who knows lol. I'm sure post-production is easily longer for HOTD but the on-location stuff for this still takes a long time. They said the shoot for episode 3 was a month long.

 

I'm not sure it would be in season 2 but I can't imagine how much work it's going to take to recreate the WLF headquarters with both sets and vfx lol.

This is one of the many times Bella killed it with her facial expressions this past week. She was so good in this episode.

I enjoy this show and loved the games. BUT I’ll riot if we get s2 of this before s2 of HOTD! I need to see more of that show stat
