rankings are silly but it felt like it was obviously tongue-in-cheek and at this point there've been more posts complaining about rankings than the actual rankings, it's okay to just scroll past something
It’s one thing if someone explains why each thing is in that order. But just a bunch of numbers? May as well just put “plus one post” instead.
Pedro Pascal Bella Ramsey Anna Torv Gabriel Luna Lamar Johnson Melanie Lynskey Nico Parker Keivonn Woodward Jeffrey Pierce John Getz Samuel Hoeksema Oliver Ross-Parent Merle Dandridge Nelson Leis Storm Reid Rutina Wesley Nick Offerman John Hannah Terry Chen Christine Hakim Murray Bartlett Yayu A.W. Unru Ian Rozylo Graham Greene Josh Brener Not a ranking but this is the cast listed in order on IMDB.
My son’s rankings are Wallace and Gromit > Sesame Street > The Last of Us (we watch it after he goes to sleep)
didn't even catch Troy originally! and I wasn't aware of who Ashley was going to be playing until now (game 1/season 1 finale spoilers): Ellie's mom, very cool decision. assuming it'll be a flashback Marlene has in the hospital or something
Even with this weekly, its gone by way too fast. Its almost why i enjoy finding new shows, as often they seem to last longer, and things ive hyped up seem to be over in a blink (probably comparative to the wait). A lot to cram in for the last 2, but i have found everything but the end of episode 6 and kathleens arc in 4/5 to be almost spot on as far as pacing, and the instincts on when to change course or stay the game path nearly always right. I enjoy the podcast too, but try not to let it sway me as good TV shouldnt need a companion podcast to convince you its good, it just should be. I dont want the trend to be ' oh you didnt like it?? Did you listen to the podcast???' I like and appreciate the insights and stories though.
As a game player I think it was good not great. Some iffy lines and after the stellar infected scenes in 2 and 5 this one looked and felt cheap. That being said anyone calling it “filler” is a dork.
Thought that ep was pretty good. It felt essential too because we had that whole portion of the pilot that informs Joel's character and why he is the way he is in the present, but we didn't have that for Ellie until this ep. Her recollection of Riley insisting that they continue on directly relates to her decision to go back for Joel and help him. I thought it tied together nicely. Storm Reid and Bella Ramsey played really well off each other. I have high hopes for these last 2 eps. Sunday can't come soon enough.
I just personally didn't need another entire episode about a love story when we're really short on episodes now. Bills was done so well, just leave it at that. I wanted more Joel and more action to move the plot forward
Idk why people in here can't seem to accept that some people aren't going to like things as much as them. It's just a show lol
I didnt love last nights episode but if all you got from it was that it was a ‘love story’ then idk man, ellie is just as much a main character as joel so its kinda weird for the reaction to be “this was bad because there was no joel”. Was it really that bad a decision to give you a glimpse into ellies past? give her character a bit more depth?
By more Joel, I meant more Ellie and Joel playing off each other together. I don't want an episode that is strictly focused on him either.
