I mean, as far as we know, there weren’t anymore infected in the area. FEDRA claimed the mall was full of them, but that’s clearly not the case.
I didn’t like this episode, but only because this show gives me anxiety and the pacing was slow, which meant my anxiety was festering. I do recognize that it was a good episode, objectively speaking, and gave really touching background and insight.
Children are physically weak. This is science. The vast majority of the show was two children. Their weakness permeated the episode. Duh doy.
It's probbbbably my least favorite of the episodes so far, but that's only because I felt like I had no emotional connection to Riley. Like we've heard her name mentioned/referred to but this episode all of a sudden we're in a flash back and she shows up and there's all this unearned history there that I don't feel connected to. Luckily the girls acted the shit out of it and made it believable and cool, especially the whole "experiencing a mall" parts. And the episode itself is still really fucking good. But I think they did Bill and Frank much better than they did these two. But also I think the last two weeks have made me realize what people meant when they said they had no idea how they'd fit this in one season. I've never played the game and have no idea where the story is going but it DOES feel like this coulda been given more room to breathe. BUT, at the same time, the fact that they're not trying to stretch it out too much beyond the game has--surprise surprise--resulted in a really fucking good show without one weak episode yet!
She’s so good showing insecurity while trying to hide it. It’s very funny to think of the people that thought she wouldn’t be a good fit. Also nice to see Storm doing something other than being sad for Zendaya and occasionally getting high. She was also very good.
Nice! Wow, I totally had the wrong idea of what this DLC was. I didn't realize it's literally just expanding the story of the main game, I fully thought it was like a full-on prequel with just Ellie and Riley's story
Thought it was great just wish they recreated the scene in the arcade from the game. They better not mess with the museum scene from Part II lol
Yeah it was only implied in the game as well. It pretty much ends like it did in the game. They were huddled up together waiting it out, and the screen just cuts to black.
I think last nights episode was the first misstep of the series. I would have left out the Left Behind content and added more University stuff in.
Bella was amazing but I thought the dialogue was pretty bad this episode, I straight up winced at some of it lol least favourite episode but still good I think
This is an insane hot take. The university is literally all infected and hunter encounters, there is no interesting story there other than the Fireflies being gone.
quoting you here haha so I think it goes back to the discussion she had with Joel in episode 2 about if it’s weird to kill them knowing they used to be humans and etc. like to me it seemed like she was trying to see if there was still anything left in there of the person it used to be
