Yeah winter is too late in the game to start a new season, it would have to be before that I think. Maybe after the Henry and Sam stuff?
Looking back at some of the press releases from when the series was announced and seems pretty clear that they’re adapting the whole game, plus the DLC and maybe some bits of Part 2. Only one season green lit so far so presumably all of that in the first season. the whole game is only like, 15 hours? Browsing YouTube and seeing all the full cutscene edits are under well under 10 hours. Obviously they’ll be adding stuff but doesn’t seem like too much to fit into one 8-12 episode season.
No! No I am not okay! First they turned down The Walking Dead because they thought it would be "too violent", then they show us what cool ass zombies could look like in GOT, now they're doing basically a zombie-ish show with Last Of Us, meanwhile Brad Pitt is out there trying to make blockbuster movies out of a book that is clearly meant to be like a 12-16 episode miniseries, WHILE we're in the Golden Age of long form story telling on TV....and what is HBO doing about this? Nothing! They should be throwing billions at Brad Pitt's studio and get that shit from him. I want my World War Z miniseries!
Very excited about this. Speculation is that it's only 9 episodes because the original director of ep 1 and 2 left just before the shoot started.
Would have preferred they didn’t reveal some of the stuff in this trailer but otherwise yeah getting hyped.
I’m so excited for this. The Bloater at the end gave me chills, especially as someone who avoided having to fight any of them in the game other than the one mandatory one lol.
Also it definitely looks like they are doing the whole first game in this season. Do we know if they have plans to do Part 2?
I assume if season 1 does well enough then they’ll keep going, maybe not with all the HBO/Warner turbulence though
