It was needed for this scene. Nora had to find out about Ellies immunity and be in a compromised state. Clever in the end to be able to bring them back from the game. Also in the vaguest possible words, this choice has set up a fan favorite moment from game 2 that will be in s3.
Will be very interested to see how the spore thing works/why. I imagine it'll be something that only happens in very specific, indoor areas because obviously if this stuff was airborne airborne outside, humanity would be done lol
Yeah, I agree. Pretty sure that’s the reason they said they didn’t include it in season 1. They figured if it was airborne, it wouldn’t be contained to areas near the fungus like the game, it would be everywhere.
he didn’t struggle with it though. Marlene was the one who needed convincing. Abby says that to support him, but he was already set on doing it.
Once again, there’s no use talking game spoilers in here when we have the game thread to have those conversations.
it would be cool if people just used the right threads for the intended purposes though. but, i dream.
Going through the companion podcast right now. They hinted that the rat king is happening next season.
Yet you can post in the correct thread and people still lose their minds. Maybe we all just need to chill.
you're all doing this wrong. instead of expecting the inevitability of a series based on a video game to have discussions that crosses over both mediums, there should exist a spoiler thread where we discuss spoilers for every show, movie, book, podcast, etc.
Idk i think people are mostly good about using spoiler tags, and keeping game conversation in a view of how it might relate to the show, not just focused on their playthrough or whatever.
Yes my particular example it related to me a responding to a non-game player who doesn't go on the game thread who appreciated my spoiler response that gave my game player perspective on what he was wondering about. It's replying with additional context based on it's a so far pretty loyal adaptation of an original work. I am not trying to talk about about the game and not the episode outta nowhere. Gripers gonna gripe though
Liked this episode much more than the last. The spores scene was shot so well, the Seraphite ritual was brutal and they outlined the factions really well, the portrayal of Ellie going full on Incredible Hulk at the end was brutal.[ Two episodes to go just doesn’t feel anywhere near enough.
I think two episodes is enough to cover what I predict the portion of the game it’ll adapt. Being super vague purposefully haha
Enough to cover the end of TLOU2? Didn't they already renew the show for Season 3 and also state they wouldn't go past the actual game storyline?
