I sent a photo of the title card as my snap streak to a few people. One friend replied, “enjoy Pedro!” She does not watch the show haha
I suspected they might do something like this, with Tommy being more invested in Jackson’s safety - there are some moments that come to mind now that I don’t think are possible without him ahead of the pack. The next four weeks are going to be very interesting.
Really liked the council scene. Cool way to lay out a lot of the themes to come. Bella delivered that speech perfectly.
Just to echo what josh said......y'all DO know we have a videogame thread....I know there's a sizable audience here who hasn't nor wants to play the game so therefore I don't think they necessarily *care* to see us game players discussing whatever "differences" as that's something that will never pertain to THEIR experience. WE can freely discuss in either thread, they can't come into the videogame thread unless they want to be spoiled, like walking in a minefield. It's entirely possible for us to discuss game stuff in the game thread and have conversations about the show here without going "but in the game....."
Good episode overall. I liked Seth's little "redemption arc." One thing I was surprised to see was the baseball game lol.
Loved this episode. Ive been feeling pretty critical of the dialogue that Craig Mazin often writes for the show (often corny), but this one hit hard in all the right ways. Great pacing. and it handled a lot in what initially felt like a quiet episode. The final scene was a fantastic way to set the tension and stakes going forward. Bella was amazing in this one and all the minor game changes, continue to be in service of better TV.
Honestly the hospital stuff seemed really clunky and I was worried for the pacing of the rest of the ep. Once Ellie got to Joel’s house the ep settled nicely. Love the intro to the WLF’s and overall I thought this ep looked really good. Especially when they went to visit Joel’s grave and when they get to Seattle.
Honestly thought the writing for this episode was really on the nose as far as the themes went, but then I go online and still see people completely missing stuff so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Liked the episode overall, though. Bella and Isabela are killing it
