Man, it's been a while since I played the game so that hit me just as hard as it did years ago. They did the death pretty much perfectly, amazing acting from everyone involved and the brutality was really fucking effective. I am morbidly really enjoying reading reactions from people that didn't get spoiled lol, this must be how it felt for people that read the GOT books and knew what was gonna happen on that show I feel like the attack on Jackson was a pretty major change with a potential aftermath that could make a huge difference so I'll reserve judgement until I see where they go with that, but the scene itself was super cool
I think the Jackson attack will merely serve as adding another layer to someone’s actions looking even more extreme/foolish. Gotta keep it vague, sorry. Haha
Hmm I think I like what the show did more, but they're more similar than I expected Also think the show was way more gruesome
That was the most Game Of Thrones episode of television since the end of Game Of Thrones. That includes HoTD.
Helms Deep 2 was crazy. that shot of the infected climbing out of the snow was amazing I knew roughly what happened in the game but not the specifics, I was kinda expecting it to be way more brutal than it was? thought she was gonna go Misery on his legs or something lmao also I realise it's kinda not important now but were we supposed to know who Eugene was cos I have no idea
I don't understand the complaints with the attack on Jackson. I think it was super well done and added a lot to the tension and overall story. They did such an awesome job incorporating the bloater too.
weird storytelling choice imo but I guess they gotta find a way to keep Pedro showing up the rest of the season
My girlfriend hasn’t been watching the show with me cause zombie/infected stuff really isn’t her bag and she finds it pretty scary. She walked in early on and sat next to me on her phone but ended up watching that episode as her first one. She must not remember me playing the games cause she kept saying “Wait, but isn’t Joel the main guy? They won’t kill off the main guy…” Oh dear. She seems into it though so I guess we’re doing a weird rewatch where she already knows but doesn’t know anything else lol.
I didn’t play the game and didn’t realize what was going to happen until they actually got back to the lodge. I agree that I didn’t need Abby’s motivation though. I thought she was just pissed and wanted revenge for all the fireflies.
What do you mean by respect in this regard? Not being facetious or trying to argue, I’m just very familiar with both TWD show and comics and that’s not something that’s occurred to me
AMC cut the moment in half so it could serve as a season-ending cliffhanger. When the death was finally shown, it was through a flashback. They also stretched the scene to fill an entire episode by adding unnecessary (torture porn) content, which took the focus away from the fact that a main character had just been murdered. Instead of being a sendoff for Glenn, it ended up as more of a superficial 1.5-episode introduction for Negan. They also killed Abraham moments prior just for a cheap “gotcha, he’s still going to die.” We definitely fell for that one..
one of my favorite battle scenes in a loooooong time. yeah, i kinda didn't like how Tommy was just in the middle of the street as infected kinda ran around him, but other than that it was sweeeet.
its important to remember after watching a fictional siege play out on screen that real defense fortifications require a wall and several trenches outside of that wall. as many trenches as possible.
IGN reminds me so much of ESPN. Used to be credible but now just hunt for views with their atrocious opinions.
Man, emotionally, that scene hit just the same as in the game. I’m a mess again haha The method of the final blow didn’t really bother me too much. Not gonna change the outcome of the scene. I’m kinda glad they switched it up and didn’t play out exactly the same.
I knew Kaitlyn lost her mom around the time of the casting announcement but I didn’t realize how close it was to shooting. And to start with that scene and give that performance, good lord.
I basically cannot watch this show because Bella Ramsey is so so bad as Ellie. I've played the game and she just doesn't have it to carry this season.
