Stalker sequence was great. Already digging Merced as Dina. Good start to the season!

 

I teared up just watching the damn recap for last season, this show is gonna destroy me

 

the actress was great in the last Alien movie too

 

Love Isabela Merced. Excited to see her play Hawkgirl.

Just got done with the first podcast episode. Sounds like they're going to dive more into Seth's backstory.

 

Ah, so nice to see some normal takes here. Trying my hardest to avoid engaging with bad faith trolls elsewhere but failing pretty hard.

I enjoyed this 1st episode - didn't quite love it, but I enjoyed it a lot and I know this season is going to be insane and based on season 1, it'll do its best to strike a balance between quiet and thoughtful and full on crazy action. I'm really most interested in how they're going to plot out the season, and break between s2 and s3. We're already getting things 'out of order', but they also seem to be pushing the plot forward at the expediency that the game had and I don't think the main beats are going to be adjusted too much.

Loved the dance scene and the introduction of the stalker. For the non game people, yea those things are a pain and create quite the tense gameplay / sense of panic and jump scare moments.

 

Early, early days, but yeah, I didn't really enjoy the dialogue or the scenes with Abby and something felt a little off, but I get why they added them now. I think one of the main complaints (for both games really and s1) was both how dangerous the infected are portrayed, and then how conveniently non threatening they are when needed. So I guess at the very least it was to show how resource backed and thought out Abbys journey was to avoid the 'well how come they marched across the country and didn't come across any trouble? blah blah blah'.

 

I was kinda skeptical at first because the pacing felt off, but the ep found its groove early. Fantastic casting this season, Jesse especially. The stalker intro was really interesting and was a smart move to do it this ep. The market was like 1/1 of how it looked it the game and I loved the nod to the EOTM board/safe code.

 

Catherine O'Hara was also awesome. Glad she's in this

 

Just watched the S2E1. Isabela Merced steals every scene she is in which isn’t a surprise. Big fan of Dina and I feel bad for poor old Joel. Annoyed with Abby and Ellie already. Pretty much aligned with how I feel about the characters in the game. Overall it was a great episode.

 

I'm assuming Ellie found out Joel lied to her? In which case, I get why she would be mad at him

 

I’m sure all will be revealed in time.

 

really good episode. loved the creepy grocery store scene. really like the new characters introduced. havent played Part II yet so i am relatively blind except for knowing one thing. don't really love Bella's acting but, i like them and the character enough to not get nitpicky. should be fun! kinda!
