I’m not the biggest fan of the storyline of Part 2. However I think it will work much better in a tv show. Narrative games are tough when you don’t agree with the choices the main character is making.
With The White Lotus being 8 episodes and premiering February 16, this is all but confirmed for April 13 now
Doing a rewatch as I recently played through both games. I kind of like viewing both the games and show as canon and one adds context to the other. Obviously, there are changes and on those I defer to the games. But I feel like I know the characters way more having played/seen both now.
I know it’s not official but it’s pretty much confirmed to be mid April lol. Bloys said they’d have 6 episodes, or whatever the minimum is, out by the emmy submission deadline It’ll be White Lotus->TLOU->Knight of the Seven Kingdoms for the 9pm HBO shows
Yeah that is pretty short haha. FWIW I did hear that they’re going to move pretty quickly for S3. Like I think they’re going to shoot it in 2025
He just said that amount of episodes will be out by then to meet the requirements for the Emmys for drama series, it’s either 5 or 6 idk which. But it is going to be only going 7 I believe. Season 3 will be 8. They split the second game into two parts.
I’m curious how they’ll split up the story. I assume they’d order things differently than in the game.
I agree that it works for the game but maybe not here. But Druckmann is part of the writing team and I trust him with this so we’ll see lol
And that is where we will end the conversation lol. If you want to talk about it more go to the game thread.
