Wasn't he supposed to be doing another Alien? I would rather see that, even if they haven't been great.

 

idk about a movie but he's producing an Alien tv show for FX

 

He’s said he wanted to do one or two more after Covenant, iirc. Don’t know how likely that is anymore though.

I would definitely prefer a sequel to Covenant over Gladiator 2.

I could care less really what the script is; I just want a gladiator film as epic as the first one. Not sure if there's any big enough characters left over from the first one to make a 2nd one though

this took a little while to get interesting but afterwards i’d say you’re getting a lot of what you came to the show for. comer and driver are great and matt damon is ridiculous in a way i wish i (under normal circumstances) had a larger crowd to watch this with. and the titular duel is truly remarkable, given what we’ve seen prior.

there’s also a highly unfortunate rape scene that just throws everything being done at the viewers, and i wish to god it was merely being implied. no idea what ridley was getting at, especially since it was being treated as one of the more pivotal moments in the film

overall a solid film with some caveats. probably some other pros and cons i’m not thinking of currently. hate to see a film of this setting having to try and hold its own against 007, venom and halloween
